Not nearly as complex as Wynn, but yes. There is room for simpler games below it, like pre-gavel Wynn. That's besides the point anyhow.

Tbh, I came back to the game after the Discovery Updates and my favorite quest so far has been Descent into the darkness (undergrowth ruins dungeon quest). the slime world was immersive, the slime abomination (is that the only custom modeled boss?) fight was honestly so much fun because I had never seen a server actually make a functioning and rather smooth boss with armorstands and entity tiles. the entire quest was honestly perfect imo. so if you're hating on dungeon quests, sorry but i can't agree with anything else you say.

My only gripe with the server after coming back after years break is that they made Yahya's Mushroom quest too easy >:( No more "Go here and buy me this mushroom" "actually I meant this one" "actually I need a bowl too!"
Now it's just "turn around, boom, mushroom" and it even tells you where the bowl is found!
But that's just me upset that people don't get to experience the demon that Yahya was back in the day :tongueclosed:

    >system is added so you gain xp by literally walking into a place that you haven't been to before
player: this new system to get xp is such a chore

    Bosses
I really can't quite agree with you. You say gimmicky bosses are bad. But what else is there? There aren't really many choices. The second best choice in my opinion would be making everything being a superboss, but that would be stupid because if some random slime is buffed and becomes as strong as the legendary champion of Wynn, then they would have to buff Bob, making the gameplay experience much worse for newer players and uncessarily difficult.

    Quests
As for quests, it makes things a lot more interesting to add gimmicks. Quests shouldn't all be combat (grind here for drops, grind there for drops, kill this boss for drops). Most enemies that you fight in fetch quests aren't very difficult, so it sort of just becomes mindless traveling. With gimmicky quests, there are puzzles that can make you think making the experience a lot more livelier.

    Corkus
Corkus, if you ask me, was my favorite province yet. It's different from Gavel and Wynn in the sense that it's more chaotic. With Gavel, you will only really find large numbers of mobs in grinding spots and you usually are only fighting 2-4 mobs at a time. However, in Corkus, there are a significant amount of enemies everywhere, and not just in "grind" spots.

The reason why I love this so much is because it sort of encourages exploring (at least for me). In Gavel, in order to get experience, I just walk to a grind spot, grind there for 7 years, then go back to the nearest town. In Corkus, you can explore an kill a large amount of enemies at the same time. This adds more variety to the grinding (different places and different mobs) while not throwing away too much efficiency (Discoveries and things of that sort contribute to xp gain). There are more things that I like about Corkus, but this is my favorite.

I completely agree, imo Corkus did everything right that Gavel did wrong
    • Added a small new area instead of a huge province that could overwhelm players
    • Focused on few, but long and detailed quests instead of short filler quests
    • Added actually good endgame content that’s not a blatant ToA ripoff (though cybel can go fuck itself)
    • Added the Fallen factory dungeon on release instead of putting it to the side and it being forgotten about like the Gavel dungeons

It’s a shame that not many people liked Corkus because of the lack of content, but you have to remember that quality > quantity, always. Also, these people include the OP, who just seems to hate everything new for no reason. Notice how OP only responded to two people, one of which was vague and made no sense, and the other just an “oof”. You can tell that he only wanted to rant about how much he thought the update sucked instead of giving constructive criticism on how he would’ve made the update better

So... do you rather want quests were you grind mobs for items instead of quests with a story, cutscenes etc.?
Im sorry to say that we are trying to remove ALL of those quests, eventually. We want fun, interesting and flashy quests that makes the game experience fun and unique.

Nostalgia probably. He's like one of those people who think pre gavel Wynn was better because it's old.
