You return to the Potion Merchant in Corkus City.

"Yikes, Tsu, you always seem to find yourself in quite a bit of trouble, huh?" he asks jokingly.
"Look, I know you've got some virus, but it doesn't mean I can just give potions out for free, I'll lose my job! Now...you see, I don't always sell potions, sometimes I try to sell random stuff that I find. One of these miscellaneous items is this Book of Cards (+1 AS). No one's buying it, but can I trust you to sell this for me for a couple emerald blocks? You can bring back the money to me and I'll give you... 10x Healing Stew (Heals +5 HP)?

You punctuate his sentence with another blow of coughs. (-1 HP)

You can choose to try to sell the Book of Cards and bring back the loot for the 10x Healing Stew, or you could reject the offer. or you could be a little thief and steal the Book of Cards...

The Beast swings his branch club at you and misses horribly. Nevertheless, you and your army start to flee towards Efilim. The Treant Beast is ridiculously slow, so it can barely catch up. By the time you enter Efilim, though, you and most of your army are panting. A female villager, about 15 or so, walks up to you.

"Hello, visitor! You look like you're from Aldorei, right? And since, you've got a nice little army behind you, I assume you're here not to fight us...right?" You start to reply "No" but the villager starts laughing indicating that it was a joke. You tell the villager that you are here to negotiate an alliance.

"Sure, our leader Likeru IV will be heading this way shortly."

An old elf comes walking your way just when the villager finishes her words.

"Ah you must be...uh...White War Mage of Aldorei!"

You frown.

"Uh...sorry. It's just I don't know many commanders from Aldorei." He introduces himself as Likeru IV and shakes your hand.

"So... you are here to set up an alliance, right?" Now he frowns, as if remembering something unfortunate that happened many years ago.

"Look, and please don't be offended when I tell you this, it's that a couple decades back there was some... tension between the Sol and us. I'm not saying that it is impossible for an alliance, it would require a private meeting between myself and the leaders of the Sol, not a negotiation with just a commander." He sighs. "Would you do me a favor? Please head back to Aldorei and tell the Sol Embassy's leaders that I would like to set up a meeting with them."

Oh I just realized Zhight Island isn't on the list, is that what you meant? I'll add it

 

How much to just buy potions?

 

"Alright i'll get that done. Is there anything i can assist you in before heading back?"

 

"Three emerald blocks to buy 7x Potion of Healing (Heals +7 HP) or the 10x Healing Stew (Heals +5 HP)... Since you don't have any on you, I guess you'll have to get them by selling this Book of Cards. Or you can find another way, if you can find one..."

You start coughing, but this time it isn't as violent as before.

"Thank you, soldier, but I require no help as of now."


OOC heads up: I'm not going to be as active this whole week and half of next week for finals -_-

 

I thank him for his time and start heading back to Aldorei

 

Yep, Zhight Island is destroyed so its a defacto group going around doing stuff

Hey that's part of the campaign

No actually you inspired me to add something

With the Book of Cards, you look for any merchants interested in cards... nope, none in Corkus. But you have heard of a "Trade Carnival" going on on an island not too far from the Corkus docks.

Perhaps you can take a boat there and see if any merchants there will be willing to buy your book for three emerald blocks?

"Thank you very much, Likeru IV."

You now head back to Aldorei with a bit of a burden lifted off your shoulders, and you take your time there. But then you literally run into an old enemy.

Yep, the Treant Beast is truly mad at you, and it looks like it won't let you escape any time soon...

You can still try to flee (although there isn't much of a chance) or you fight the beast.

The Treant Beast has 30/30 HP and 7-9 AS.

You ask about 10 or so people, and they "don't care as long as they aren't dead," and finally a villager, about 20 or so, pipes up.

"Hey, um, Robert? Think I got some news about the Ocean and the war... if you can call it news. That old guy Zhight, he's finally dead after 400 years--I always thought he had a couple screws loose--and there's been an uprising on who should be leader of the island now. Even new names have sprung up: Karney Island, Phief Island, Dennatur Island, Hoyoboy Island... the list goes on with the names of quite rebellious people. The uprisings have also turned somewhat bloody... maybe you can check the situation out there? I'm just worried 'cuz the island isn't too far away."

 

"That sounds like a good idea, thanks. We can't have the same things happening in the provinces happening here in the ocean." I say.

I bring my troops with me and head to Zhight Island to check out the situation.

 

Place an order for robots. Then take the boat to the carnival

 

Then it's time to fight

 

This is probably not going to end very well, but I would like to inhabit the trade/ sailing city of, uh... Nemract! I wanna start by recruiting if that's fine.

 

Oi this is my army, dont mess with the rebellion

 

A great variety of boats are available for you and your army to sail to Zhight Island. Two sailors are willing to charge no price to transport you and your army to Zhight, and you thank the sailors for their time.

As the boats arrive near the coast of Zhight, you hear shrieks and screams of savage barbarians and you see a couple of insane villagers carrying around the body of the late Zhight. Clearly, pandemonium has broken out, and the sailors are growing very fearful.

"Look, I'm not any good fighting warrior and I would certainly get killed, so you have a choice: you can ditch the boat and walk up to Zhight Island, or you could come with us to flee back to Selchar.

Sorry, but that's two "large" actions, so you can only choose one of them :/ If I were to do both, it would be a ginormous wall of text

Placing an order for robots requires you to head to the Factory, in which there will be more choices for you, as well as heading to the carnival

You and your army brandish their weapons, ready to fight the Treant Beast.

(this is just here for my reference: 30/30 and 7-9 30/30 16)

The Treant lunges forward at you with its club. It roughly scratches your chest. (-8 HP)

Your ranged elves place two arrows cleanly in the Treant's left eye. It howls in pain and slightly backs away. (-19 HP for Treant)

The Treant body slams you! (-9 HP)

You charge into the Treant's legs and slash your weapon at it furiously. The Treant stumbles to the ground. (-13 HP for Treant) Slowly, the slits that make up the eyes close...

The Treant Beast drops 2x Seed of the Treant (when used, has a 75% chance of summoning a Treant that fights for the player).

That was a slightly tiring fight.

Blue Battle Sage has 13/30 HP and 16 AS.

You're on the list.

Most of Nemract's soldiers are off fighting back corruption near Detlas, but some young conscripts are available to fight for your army. They accept your offer with happiness. (+4 AS)

Jellybean 2007 has 25/25 HP and 14 AS.

I'll ask around the town, and send some soldiers to ask *politely* for gear, weapons, or clothes around town

 

Politeness doesn't really exist in a drunken seaside town but ok

You send your soldiers out to ask others for gear, although the town is pretty much deserted except for drunken sailors, drunken property owners, and drunken citizens (you wonder why?).

One of your conscripts ask a sailor for some gear, keeping his manners intact. But the sailor's aren't.

"What the hell did you just ask from me??! You want some sh** for your little army? Ya know, I don't give a single fu** about this stupid seaside town and this dumb-ass war!" Your conscript flinches with each foul word, and decided to stop asking for his own safety. Then the sailor takes a very considerable swig from his potion of drunkness. Then he dives into the water.

It seems that all of your soldiers have experienced a similar thing, but one archer comes back to you with an... Old Sock. You sigh. Maybe there are more people with generosity other places?

 

We'll go by the slightly less drunken suburbs
