That could already happen, say if Player 1 wanted to target Player 2's mages instead, and then if Player 1 succeeded in killing the mages, Player 2 would suffer a loss in AS that was brought by the mages.

cap at 80% sounds good, 95% would technically make the player invincible as most fights won't really last 20 rounds.

Could work but I think the stats should be more like 25% for higher AS and 50% for lower AS and then a cap at 80%?... a little too much math and calculation and there is more margin of error but it's ok... is it ok, everyone, if this is implemented? (pls say yes lmao)

Each merchant in this game will ask for their own items in exchange for the item they're selling, rather than a fixed currency. Maybe you should ask the merchant himself what his price is.

You find a small spot where fish are leaping about. You cast your rod, and you feel a tug instantly. You pull hard to reel it in... but then a Giant Pyranha emerges!

(this is also gonna be a test for this new combat system btw)

Giant Pyranha has 30/30 HP and 10 AS. (8.5% chance to dodge)
Robert has 14/25 HP and 27 AS. (4.25% chance to dodge)

 

Why does the lesser army have a better dodge chance?

The book is a bore to read until Maxie starts talking about evasion, which grabs your attention. Although not totally on-topic about negating spells and magic, the chapter seems useful. You read it again and again. You now have the roots of Evasion (100% attack dodge chance next attack round), but to have it completely implemented in your body, you need to probably practice it.

That's for you to figure out ;)

Honestly, I don't either.
Like, I know the basic idea, but I can't put into into words, as nothing irl really translates to HP.
So I guess just building up stamina? Would probably be the closest thing.

I immediately attack the fish, and tell my men to surround and attack it.

I was thinking something like an arbitrary flat value for both.

I meant it sort of "armour" type situation, wherein because you have so many soldiers, they end up physicially blocking any attacks towards you with themselves. So it's like a taunt where attacks auto-go towards AS until it's past the threshold/there's piercing involved.

Hoyoboy has 7/25 HP and 26 AS, and has acquired Old Pirate Hook (+3 AS).

You try to focus on the spirit and channel your energies until it starts to glow a bit brighter. Suddenly, the spirit starts to shift and lets out a serene, yet chilling voice: "Reeeleeeease meee...."

You attack the Pyranha immediately. (27 damage) Furthermore, your soldiers run into the Pyranha, but it dodges the charge.

The Pyranha savagely bites into one of your soldiers chest. The circle of soldiers is very weakened and backs slowly away. (-5 AS)

Taking advantage of the Pyranha's injured state, you stab it until it dies. (30 damage)

As you stab the Pyranha, it regurgitates a Pufferfish.

Your army gains 3 AS as experience.

Robert has 14/25 HP and 25 AS, and has acquired Pufferfish.

You wander across the willows, and you find two Zombies hiding in a bush. They leap out of their hiding.

2x Zombie each have 20/20 HP and 5 AS. (6.5% chance to dodge)

Jellybean 2007 has 28/28 HP and 31 AS.

 

O flip, that's alot of personal AS that I have. O-o
