Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

After eating, she falls asleep rather quickly.
You'd need to wait a bit before summoning anything else.

It doesn't take long for the crate to unseal, Ren curiously opening it after the acid stops hissing.

Inside the chest is a partially broken vase, a skull, a few long withered flowers, and a jewelled crown.

"As long as it's resistant to overloaded circuits, it'll work just fine."

Lidnis glances at the blueprint.
"I just noticed... are you going to make him capable of using water magic?"

 

"That's what they're designed for." The Shadow says, chuckling.


"It...wasn't planned. Why do you ask?" Zoe asks.

 

"Great. Electrocharged water included?"


"Iruk!" Lidnis shouts.

Zoe's blasted with a tiny bit of water coming out of Iruk's hand.

 

"I would think so." The Shadow says.


Zoe seems rather unimpressed, wiping the water off of her.

"Well, I guess we could implement some mage crystals to allow control over water." Zoe says, grabbing another blueprint sheet.

 

"I've kinda been hiding it from my friends. I keep the blades the way they are, usually... it's not technically magic, but I want it to be."


"I could have him squirt you with electrified water if that's a more convincing argument." Lidnis offers sarcastically.

 

"I said I'd add them. Just because we've agreed to help doesn't mean you're our boss." Zoe says, getting annoyed.

 

"Just pointing out something I noticed you overlooked." Lidnis says. "My part here's done, anyways. May the tides of time flow with you."
She bows.

 

"You too." Zoe says offhandedly, drawing up blueprints.

 

Lidnis pauses.
"...I forgot our cultural differences." She says, shocked.

 

Zoe looks up, confused.

 

"If you said that to me in my city, I'd have to get you out of an angry crowd. Head of Council gets last word, but we're not there."
Lidnis sighs.
"Hell, I'll get used to a normal's life eventually." She mumbles, turning to leave.

 

"That's quite strange. Usually it's polite to respond or bid a goodbye to let your accomplice know you've been listening to what they've been saying." Zoe explains.

 

Lidnis stops again.
"When your king gives you an order, who says the last word?"

 

"Mostly either him or who he was talking to, and they usually say 'Yes, my king.'" Zoe says, chuckling lightly.

 

Lidnis chuckles.
"Think about that statement." She says before walking off.

 

Zoe just draws up the blueprints, clearly putting her work as a priority.

 

Iruk eyes the blueprints again, silently monitoring everyone's progress on his parts.

 

The wings appear to be completed, while their motors are almost completed too. The generator chips appear to be mostly done, and work has begun on the mage crystal attachments. The whole room is beginning to smell a bit like sweat.

 

Iruk ignores it, standing idly in the middle of the room.
"One problem you may have is going about extracting my soul."

 

"Why would we need to do that?" An earth guardian asks.
