Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Thanks." Kailee says.

Ihra's talking to a levitating person in extremely fancy clothing.

 

"Do you notice the floating person dressed like a king?"

 

"Of course. I'm your eyes. I literally see what you see."

 

"Good point. I keep on forgetting that."

Cecil turns to Rineth. "Do you know who that is?"

 

"That's Terrae, a god of this world. I suggest you don't anger him."

 

"The god of?"

 

"Destruction. Dominus Terrae, Destroyer of Worlds... so don't piss him off. Or anger him. Or do anything other than respectfully oppose or help him."

 

"O....k..."

 

Kailee slides next to you.
"So... we're not arguing with him. Clear, Cecil?" She asks, nervous.

 

"Yeah..."

 

Eventually, the wings are finished, or as finished as the two singular wings can be. They appear to be missing a few pieces, and are slid over to the workstation next to the one they're being worked on. One of the Shadows on the workstation seems to be working on a motor of sorts.

The Shadow winces a bit, but delicately takes the chip out and studies it's design, hooking it up to a machine that sends an electrical current through it to power it and records its activity.

 

The chip starts to overload, tripling the current given before failing.

 

The Shadow delicately studies how the chip works, where the electrical current in it goes and how it would function to cause failure.

 

It seems the chip is a generator, taking a spark and spending a regenerative gel to produce energy proportionate to what passes through. More than a spark apparently causes it to short if you don't have enough output methods.

 

"Ooohhh... the small animal's gone..."
Crystal sadly comments.
"It's a puppy, Crystal."
"Didn't look like one."

 

"What do you think a puppy looks like?"

 

Crystal morphs into a larger version of a puppy. Unlike the one you summoned, he seems to be a husky.

 

"Great... now, can we look for something to eat and not at puppies?" Kailee asks, stomach growling right next to you.

 

The Shadow slides over to one of the Shadows working at one of the computer workstations. She seems to be quite busy coding.

"Hey, think you can recreate these?" The Shadow asks, handing the other Shadow the chip. She studies it for a short while.

"This is very poorly built, very prone to failure and damage. I can make something much better than this," The Shadow says, grabbing a few things from her workstation to begin work, "I presume this is for that robot that came in?"

"Yeah, this is to keep him powered. It was one of a set of them he has, so he probably needs something bigger to keep all of him alive." The first Shadow explains.

"Well, I don't know how dated his technology is, but you don't need a massive generator to power things anymore. You worked on Eve, right?" The second Shadow asks.

"Yes...technically. But you're the tech gal who made the power for her, I made her weapons." The first Shadow says.

"That's flattering, Daniel, but I know you of all people here are as good as me when it comes to making generators and the like." The second Shadow says, smiling warmly.

The first Shadow, presumably Daniel, just smiles back, sliding back to his workstation. The second Shadow begins to work on creating a new generator for Iruk.

 

"Yup." They both go look for food I guess.
