Kailee shifts in order to hide behind you...

"Who's... they?"
I ask Cecil, referring to Kailee.
Crystal decides to listen up, and waves to Kailee.

 

"We're still working on prototypes to get a sense of scale, but I'd say about 1 and a half tons worth of material to use would fit." The earth guardian says.

 

"Kailee. The strange dragon...who can't write."

 

Terrae continues to keep invisible, and observes what happens, judging whether to land on the ship or land the ship.

 

"That seemed given. Did find her or summon her?"

 

"For the wings alone? This'll be easy, then." Lidnis says, entering storage.

The ship soon lands where you were, a few small units of soldiers searching the area as Ren cloaks again, audibly scrambling off the ship.

 

"I swear if this is another coup d'etat." I say, making the ground around the soldiers rise to form a wall around them.

 

They stumble back before they realize what's happening, then kneel.

 

I summon some water and morph it into the sentence 'What is going on here?' and float it over the soldiers.

 

The officer steps forward, then bows.
"Terrae, sir, we found information on the missing airships thanks to a lizard-thing named Ren. He talks funny, but he definitely knew more than we did."

 

I reappear and send the walls down.
"That's good. What might this information be?"

 

"We could only understand that he's hiding and then we saw what was after him. A few days later, he comes back squeaking about seeing one of the airships. We thought he was full of shit, but we were wrong - so we have one back, looted but not heavily damaged."

 

"Good. All of you are dismissed. Feel free to return to Perniciosa." I say, summoning an envelope and handing it to the officer.
"Give it to my second-in-command to claim your reward for finding an airship. Divide the reward amongst your soldiers."

(The reward is a sizable amount of the finest cooking in The Wastelands)

 

The officer seems stunned.
"S-sir, all due respect, this should go to Ren. We all trashed him at first." He says, obviously split between being merciful towards Ren and having a great meal.

 

"Um, Mr. Iruk?" A Shadow calls over to Iruk, sitting at one of the workstations.

 

"You delivered the airship. Besides, if I tell you what I have for Ren, a revolt might spring up." I say jokingly.

 

"Yes?" Iruk asks, looking up.

"Heh, thank you, my lord. Frankly, Ren probably deserves it after being shamed. Takes guts to show yourself to high authority without your word behind them." The officer says, saluting.

Ren's outline can be seen digging up a small hole behind a nearby tree.

 

"I have a blueprint of the pair of wings we're planning to create for you. I thought you might want to see them so you an make any adjustments to them." The Shadow says politely.
