Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Iruk's just in h-his mouth, right?" Eve asks.

 

"You wish. He's hiding just outside Rineth's stomach. You'd need to be careful so he doesn't cough or vomit; that could kill both you and Iruk."

 

"Aa-aah..." Eve half whines half screams, clearly terrified.

 

Ruby looks startled.
"Damnit, keep it down or Aj'll think I'm doing something to you!" Ruby snaps. "I didn't try to make amends to just get turned on again!"

 

"I-I-I-I c-can't..." Eve stutters, shaking, her breathing incredibly fast.

 

Ruby scans quickly for your presence before putting her claw on Eve's shoulder.
"You'll be okay. Couldn't you just have your voice echo down Rineth's throat?"

 

"B-B-But he w-wouldn't come o-out, b-because he's s-scared of m-me..." Eve says, having a dilemma.

 

"Have you considered apologizing and offering to help? That may make him change his mind temporarily."

 

"Y-Yes, b-but I d-don't think h-he'd believe me..." Eve says.

 

"I didn't think you would until I tried." Ruby says.

 

Eve sighs, trying to summon her strength.

"I-I-I'm going to s-see him." Eve says, walking towards the coast.

 

"Good luck." Ruby says, turning Eve away from the wall she was walking towards, and in its stead, towards the upper entrance.

 

Eve jumps the wall with a mighty leap, before pushing off the top and activating a pair of rocket boots.

 

The guards quickly open the entry to let Eve out, Rineth plainly visible on the coast.

...In retrospect, it'd be concerning if Eve couldn't see Rineth from here.

 

Eve flies through, heading towards Rineth and trying not to think of what she has to do.

 

Rineth's head is resting on the ground, Ihra and a draconian in a purple robe chatting with other group members on his back.

 

Eve lands near Rineth.

"U-U-Uhm...R-Rin...Rineth?" Eve asks shakily.

 

He opens one eye partway.
"Yes, Eve?"

 

"U-Uhmmmm..." Eve seems to have become overtaken with fear.

 

"Need to sleep again?" He asks, closing his eye again lazily.
