Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, that's that, I guess..." Ragnyon utters nervously.

Sgavrinn peeks out from behind a building nervously, trying to slide behind Myria to get to Artemis as Ihra appears to see what happened.

 

Myria seems to notice, and turns around.

"Hello, Sgavrinn." Myria says happily, reaching over to pet Sgavrinn.

"Artemis is lucky she has such a caring mother..." Stephanie says, sighing.

 

Sgavrinn lets out a cry, barreling back into a wall and knocking himsef out.

"If she was only her mother, we would never be cared for just as well." Ragnyon says, giving Stephanie a spiritual hug.

 

Myria looks rather confused.


"She's been so supportive of me, and she's helped me with my problems so much...I-I consider her my mother over my biological one..." Stephanie says, a few tears starting to run down her face as she looks away.

 

Ihra walks over and checks Sgavrinn's forehead.
"How'd you scare him?" She asks Myria.


"She may as well be. Don't worry about it, we'll be fine." Ragnyon says, trying to comfort Stephanie.

 

"No idea. I just went to pet him in a calm fashion and he freaked out like I was going to kill him." Myria says, confused.


Stephanie hugs Ragnyon, crying.

 

"Perhaps it was the scolding that City Hall heard?" Ihra asks, oblivious it happened before.


It's hard to hug a spirit, but somehow Stephanie manages it.

 

"Perhaps." Myria says.


Stephanie sobs, clearly extremely sad.

 

"So, I guess I'll go back to Eve for a while..."


Ragnyon's physical body comes over and gives Stephanie another hug.

 

"Very well." Myria says, picking Artemis up from Sgavrinn.


Stephanie keeps sobbing, hugging Ragnyon tight.

 

Sgavrinn seems to subconsciously try to be reaching for Artemis with his wings, awkwardly rolling on the ground a bit.


"It'll be okay... You're with us."

 

Myria cradles Artemis, who seems to have passed out.


Stephanie calms down a bit, her sobbing slowing.

 

Sgavrinn ends up just laying there, wings pointed towards Myria as he rolls on his back, showing signs of possibly starting to stir.


Ragnyon looks up, then chuckles at Sgavrinn.
"We'll be okay. We have been so far."

 

Myria walks away, cradling Artemis, before laying her down on a bed of large flowers.


"Y-Yeah...we'll be f-fine." Stephanie says, calming down.

 

Ihra glances at your apology note.
"Why were you fighting?" She whispers timidly.


"We're strong, but we all need to stay that way. Look at what your group did for me; they won't just leave you hanging." Ragnyon says happily.

 

"I don't know. Fun, I guess." I say, still writing the note.


"Yeah...w-we need to stay strong." Stephanie says, smiling weakly.

 

Ihra hesitates, then leaves.


"Come on. Staying here isn't helping lift your mood. What do you like to do to take your mind off things?"

 

"Reading my t-tome." Stephanie says, summoning her tome in her hands.

 

"Maybe you should do so on a bench... or at least not in the middle of the walkway." Ragnyon says.

 

Stephanie walks off, sitting down on the nearest bench.
