Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hey, are you okay?"
I ask her on the way back.

 

"Y-Yeah." Eve says.

 

"Let me re-phrase."
I say, stopping to look at her.
"Are you okay with telling me what's wrong?"
I say, sounding genuinely concerned.

 

"It's just...I was really nervous meeting Artemis. I thought I'd failed my mission." Eve says.

 

"Eve. She used military grade something to knock her out."

 

"Didn't she inject Ihra with an antidote and an energy boost?" I ask.

 

"Made her even more out of it. Sgavrinn's shielding her public image right now."

 

"Oh. Okay. I get it. Don't fret, though, you've done the right thing so far. Continue how you think is best. You haven't failed."
I smile.
"Chin up. It's forward from here."
I continue walking.

 

"Weird. Well, I'll go de-drug her then." I say, heading back through the previous rooms of the lab.

"Yeah. Th-Thanks." Eve says, smiling.

 

Ragnyon follows you.
"Don't trap me in here!" She says nervously.

 

"No problem."
I smile, and continue walking.

 

"What? You think the robots are going to come to life when nobody else is around and attack you?" I ask, heading into the elevator.

Eve follows you, before finding somewhere to sit down where she has a view of both Ihra and Artemis.

 

"No, I can't make a portal out!" She exclaims, staying close to you.

 

I turn the dials in the elevator, before teleporting Ragnyon and I to the front entrance of the palace.

"You know, the guards could always just make you a return portal if you really needed it." I say.

 

"Hi, I'm an unauthorized spirit being wanting out of here so I don't get accused of trespassing. Could you help me back home?" Ragnyon says, slightly sarcastic.

 

I go up to Crystal and proceed to talk with him.

Spoiler: Talk

"Anything happen with Ihra?"
"Nope. She's fine."
"Good. Apparently Katie got even more wounds while in her iceberg, somehow."
"Oh... how'd that happen?"
"Not sure. Artemis doesn't know either."
"Any injuries too bad?"
"No. Just wounds."
"Okay, cool. Thanks for letting me know."
"No problem."

OOC: I put their convo in spoilers in case anyone did or did not want to read it.

 

"Good point." I say, opening the doors to the palace. Strangely, it leads to a portal, which flickers between locations until landing on the group.

"After you." I say, half bowing.

 

Ragnyon floats through, then merges with her body.

 

I step through shortly after, and walk over to Ihra.

"Hey Ihra. How are you feeling?" I ask.

 

She's sprawled out on her side, tongue and drool hanging out of her mouth as one eye is shut and the other is half-shut and rolled back.
