Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh. I'll just... uhh..."
The crystal says, looking behind it.
"There's no need to worry. That's just Crystal."
I say to Eve.

 

"I don't trust it." Eve says, her hand changing back to normal.

 

Crystal looks back at Eve, grins happily, and says, "Hi." in an almost I-hope-you-don't-try-killing-me tone.
"He's fine, and nice."
I respond.
"What makes him so untrustworthy compared to us anyways?"

 

"He was attempting to sneak up on me," Eve says, "I don't trust any of you, either. Except for Ihra and the one named Artemis."

 

"Good to know who you trust, but he wasn't really trying to sneak up on anyone. He was walking up to hear about the robot lady that suddenly appeared. Y'know, just like how any normal creature would inquire."
Crystal smiles and does a halfhearted wave in the background.

 

"I am to defend Ihra and Artemis. I can't let them get ambushed by an unknown creature." Eve says.

 

"So, what you're saying, is that Aj didn't inform you about us, yet had the time to inform you about Ihra. Nice to know that he generally doesn't care."
"Is it okay to come over yet?"
Crystal raises his voice to ask me.
"I don't think so."
I respond, looking at him.

 

"Would you have time to explain in depth who the people you're trying to defend's friends are when you're about to be killed?" Eve asks.

 

"New information to me, honestly. Is Aj still alive?"

 

"...Yes." Eve says, appearing to zone out for a moment.

 

"Checking in on his vitality?"
I ask, refering to the pause.

 

"That information is classified." Eve says.

 

"By whom?"

 

"That information is also classified. To make it sound better, I can't exactly go around blabbering secrets and important information to anyone who wishes to hear." Eve says.

 

"Can't exactly imagine how big of a secret those few seconds were for you, but I'll let you keep it. Do you know who almost killed Aj?"

 

"Ruby. She has turned and wishes to kill Aj, and most likely Ihra, Artemis and the rest of you. If you see her, tell me immediately." Eve says.

 

Pause.
"Will do."
"Who does?"
Crystal raises his voice again.

 

"Ruby. She looks a bit like Ihra." Eve says, drawing a thin screen in front of her which she passes to Crystal, which shows a picture of Ruby from the front and side with the words 'Extremely Dangerous, kill or subdue and incapacitate on sight.' along the bottom.

 

"Oh, her. Okay, I get it."
Crystal proceeds to cautiously approach Eve and hand her the tablet back.
"So, should we trick her or brute force to get her?"

 

"New intel suggests a ranged kill. I can easily kill her with a sniped shot from a safe distance, so if you can keep her in place for long enough for you to get away, I can kill her." Eve says.
