Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Thank you. May your future be bright... well, metaphorically speaking." Lidnis says, walking off.

 

It seems Lidnis was the only one teleported, making for an awkward statement if it were said out loud.

 

She rolls her eyes, then turns a gear on her staff before walking out of the palace gate.

 

It's an overcast day, or what could be considered a day. A few Shadows walk about near to the palace, but none dare come close.

 

Lidnis looks for a semblance of a city as she walks away from the palace, donning her cloak.

 

The main city appears to be a distance away from the palace, and the crowds of Shadows grow denser the further from the palace Lidnis walks. Occasionally a non-Shadow can be spotted amongst the groups.

 

Folding her wings, Lidnis fully puts on her cloak to blend in a bit, her geared staff a giveaway for anyone who may know her.

 

Nobody seems to pay Lidnis much attention, too busy with their own lives. Eventually Lidnis finds herself in a market of sorts, various stalls lining the streets with people loudly advertising their wares.

 

Lidnis takes a closer look at some of the goods on sale.

 

Jewellery, clothing, mage crystals and magical items seem to be the least disturbing items for sale, amongst coloured hearts, blood vials and human parts. The stalls with coloured hearts appear to be especially popular, Shadows biting into them to reveal that the heart is filled with coloured blood too.

 

Lidnis approaches one of the blood vendors.
"Pardon me, but is there a location I could donate a small amount of blood?"

 

"You'll need to go to the other side of the city for that, Miss. You can usually donate at the hospitals." The vendor says.

 

"Nevermind then. Thanks, though." Lidnis says before ducking off into the crowd.

 

The stalls eventually thin out into shops as Lidnis approaches the centre of the city.

 

Lidnis looks inside those as well, particularly looking for anywhere that appears to be hiring.

 

There's a clothing shop that has an 'Assistant Required' sign out front, as well as a butchers that has 'Looking for hard working Shadows and Nons' sign in its window.

 

Lidnis enters the clothing shop, then approaches an employee.
"I saw the sign that you might be looking for new hires?" She asks, keeping her cloak on and her wings folded, looking more like a lizard-woman than a draconian.

 

"Ah, yes. We need some people to help with making the clothing. It's quite simple really." The employee says happily.

 

"You wouldn't happen to mind if I often lose track of time, would you?" Lidnis asks.
"I was hoping to earn some coin. My family is struggling and I thought that I'd be able to bring them back food from here." She convincingly fibs.

 

"Well, that depends. If you lose track of time doing work, that should be fine!" The employee says, chuckling.
