Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Abigail and Myria seem to be waiting in the throne room.

"Well, let's head back." I say, opening a portal big enough for Sgavrinn.


A portal opens up near Ihra, and the party steps through it.

 

"Oh, you really were going to be back soon! I see Sgavrinn got some energy out!" Ihra laughs.

"Hey, there they are. Nothing bad happened to Stephanie, either, thankfully."

 

"Why would I lie?" I ask.

Stephanie runs over to me once she sees me.

"You have my stuff, right?" Stephanie asks nervously.

"Oh, right, yeah." I say, summong Stephanie's cloak and clothing. Stephanie grabs the clothes and runs into a wooden changing room Artemis made.

 

"I... uh... Stephanie and I worried you'd just betray us and I worried you killed mother just to see if you had my trust." Ihra says.
"It was the heat of the moment, I'm sorry..."

 

"Indeed."
I wait for Stephanie to get out of the room.

 

"Why would I betray one of my longest and best friends? And you know that killing your mother was an accident, I still feel terrible about it." I say, slightly offended at Ihra's lack of trust.

A short moment later, Stephanie steps out of the changing room in her usual clothing.

 

I smile at her once she comes out.

 

"I don't know... I'm sorry, it's just... I heard some things here about you. I... I don't know if..."
Ihra breaks down into tears, hugging you.
"Y-you're responsible for hundreds of deaths of my kind... I-I don't want to add to t-that number..."

Iruk pulls Stephanie away, as well as the others, getting Sgavrinn to pull away the rest of the group from Aj.
"Hey, quick note. Aj's not popular here." He whispers.
"Don't ask questions, and don't act out of the ordinary."

 

"What? Whatever they're saying is a lie, I've only accidentally killed your mother." I say, trying to comfort Ihra.

"Oh wait, we did kill a bunch when we met Ragnyon, didn't we? Those guys were evil though!" I realize.

 

"If I know anything about humanoid creatures, it's that they tend to stick with what they first heard. Trying to convince them AJ is a good guy is going to be like throwing regular stones into an ocean and expecting them to float."
I explain to Stephanie.

 

"Killing mother apparently lead to the entire resistance operation getting wiped off the face of existence." Ihra says, hugging you tighter.
"They're blaming you for those as well."

"Not entirely. Make a point they can't refute and they'll change, usually. However, we won't be getting anywhere fast."

 

"Well, that's sort of a domino effect and it's still an accident. Besides, I bet I'm stronger than the entire resistance combined." I say, hugging Ihra.

Stephanie just looks at you, confused.

"Oh." Stephanie says.

 

Ihra pauses, then throws you off her.
"Really?! Accident or not, you kill them just to say you're stronger!? I-I..."
She runs back to you and hugs you.
"W-what can I believe..."

 

"Most of them. Its kind of a staple when you go around having fun and destroying realms like me."

 

"No, I was saying that so you don't have to worry. I didn't kill them for power, it was an accident, but I'm probably as powerful as them so I can lead the new cause." I say.

 

"Often, but what other point do we have than 'he never meant to kill anyone good'? That isn't a very convincing point."

 

"Did'ya find any dragons stuck in'em? Like in the stories?!"

"We're all that's left... I guess I don't have much of a choice but to trust you." Ihra says, crying and shaken.

"His kind is known as genocidal here, too. That doesn't help. At all..."

 

OOC: If Helianthus were with the group he would be chantig "Feed the fire! Feed the fire!"

"In some of them. Most of the castles were filled with soldiers angry at me though."

 

I try my best to calm Ihra down, "Do you want some honey?" I ask, summoning a jar of honey in my hand.

 

"Did dey give you any giffs'r magic'n stuff?"

Ihra takes the lid off the jar and starts eating the honey, tongue blocking some of your vision as she keeps hugging you.
