Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Saving one city to watch the rest of the world burn?! What kind of demon are you?"

 

"I can assure you Ignia is not bringing harm to the other cities, nor is she a demon. She is simply working to prevent the city in Brisingr from dropping into the lava and killing everyone with it." The soldier says. Ignia jumps back into her lava pool.

"Please come with us. The forest guardian shall see to your ills and wounds." Another soldier says.

 

"I don't care what she is, she's going to bring ruin to the Darklands! J-just wait until our god hears of this threat!"

 

A portal opens next to the group, and some of the soldiers pick up the unconscious male and take him through.

 

"No! Leave my husband alone!" She shouts, clenching her fists.

 

"We're taking him to safety, you too." The soldier says.

The other soldiers begin picking up the pair's belongings and taking them through the portal too.

 

The woman panics, then flees.


The power plant workers glance back at Tirra.
"Why are you all here, anyways?"

 

She doesn't get far before an arrow hits her in the neck, and she feels numb all over.


"Under orders of the Shadow King to assist Lidnis in protecting and helping this city." Tirra explains.

 

"D-demons..."


"What shadow king? You mean shadows like the stuff that's behind you when someone points a light at you?"

 

The woman is picked up and carried through the portal.


"Not technically. They're called Shadows because they resemble the beings they take their forms from, like a shadow, but they're actually creatures of darkness incarnate." Tirra says.

 

"That's weird. Well... I guess I should get back to work. I need to find replacements for... half of... the workers."

 

"What do your workers need to specialise in?" Tirra asks.

 

"They need to have the training. Else they'll blow up the entire city. However, right now it's just accepting electricity. We could use the energy from her crystals..."

 

"Hm, alright. I'll get back to work on city supports." Tirra says, heading back out to the city edge.

 

"What supports?" The worker asks, confused.

 

"Something to hold the city up." Tirra says, glancing back.

 

"How do you expect that to work?"

 

"It'll grab onto this solid piece I've found under the lava, and will use that to hold the city up." Tirra says.

 

"The core? You can't attach anything to that!"

 

"Why not?" Tirra asks.
