Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I think they've been dealt with." Tirra says.

Ignia still tries to work the generator.

 

"A-alright, good..." They say nervously, going inside and starting to work with the machinery around the generator.

 

"How does this even work?" Ignia asks, confused.

 

"No wonder it exploded, the release gauge wasn't off..." One of the workers groans.
The generator turns slowly, then stabilizes at what seems to be an extremely slow spin.

 

"Is it fixed?" Ignia asks.

 

"Yeah, but that's not stopping anything."

 

"Well, it looks like our work here is done." Tirra says, heading out of the power plant. Ignia follows.

Tirra heads toward the edge of the city.

 

It's still slowly creeping towards the magma, but city hall has power now.

 

Tirra focuses, and a large rock hand explodes from the edge of the city and reaches into the lava for the bedrock.

 

There's... none?
The core of the planet seems solid, but the rock hand doesn't survive long down there.

 

"Ignia, would you mind helping me out with this lava?" Tirra asks.

Tirra attempts to reach for the bedrock again, and Ignia solidifies the lava around the rock hand.

 

Again, only the core seems to be solid, and it's about as dense as you'd expect it to be.

 

Tirra grabs onto the core, and Ignia dives into the lava and swims to it to check the core out.

 

There's... an entryway?

 

Ignia swims into the core, curious.

 

It seems to be an old robotics lab, prototypes, pieces, and goddess' clothing strewn about, along with a few ancient weapons that are locked up with a plaque; "NOT FOR MORTAL HANDS"

 

Ignia looks around for any signs of other beings.

 

There are none, just an odd flaming sword.

 

Ignia picks up the sword, curious, testing it's weight.

 

The blade burns her badly, despite fire being her element. She can't stand to hold on to the blade long.
