Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Wait. Don't touch that staff. You'll kill the bleeding one." She says calmly.
"If I was an assassin, I wouldn't have surrendered myself. Besides, the wounded one and that in shock are the ones who killed innocents and made moves to kill our guards.

 

"You think we'd believe surrendering yourself automatically makes you not an assassin? If we let everyone who surrendered themselves go, the king would be dead." The guard says.

"They probably deserved it." Another guard by the elevator mutters under his breath.

 

"Do you see any other weapons on me? A staff the size of a grandfather clock isn't exactly subtle. Still, why don't you just let me grab my staff so you don't accidentally screw up time and destroy the palace. Or, you know, kill the girl."

 

"Ahahaha, nice try." The guard says, dragging Lidnis to the elevator.

 

"That staff resets active time fluxuations if someone other than me holds it. I was keeping her wound from bleeding out; resetting could kill her or undo the surgical progress."

 

"Well then stop it from killing her, and no funny business or you'll be dead faster than you can blink." The guard says. Lidnis' cuffs change, so she can move her hands apart, but not too far.

 

Lidnis grabs her staff, then moves her claws around her staff oddly.
"Done. No repercussions now."
Lidnis tosses the guard her staff.

 

The guard confiscates her staff, and her cuffs tighten again as Lidnis is lead to the elevator.

 

She just lets herself be dragged about.

 

Lidnis is dragged into the elevator, before being teleported just outside the throne room.

"The king is busy right now, you'll have to wait." The guard says.

 

"He planning to kill me?" Lidnis asks, sitting on her knees on the ground.

 

"The king will pass judgement on you." The guard says.

 

"Then he's likely going to kill me. Where'd you put my staff? It belongs to the next Head of Council after I die."

 

"You shouldn't be so pessimistic. As much as the king is a genocidal demon god..." The guard trails off.

 

"I'm not as dumb as I apparently appear. Sorry." Lidnis says, straight-faced.

 

"Well, you'll be called when the king is ready." The guard says, walking off.

 

"Don't lose my staff." Lidnis calls.

 

A long while later, there's a booming call.

"NEXT!"

One of the guards by the doors open it for Lidnis.

 

Lidnis shuffles in.

 

I sit in my throne, looming over the throne room, next to Shadow Stephanie.

"What business do you have here?" I ask.
