"I think that'll kill him, Abigail. I'm going to trust Artemis on this one; we can ask his name when he wakes up. And if he's against us, it's about ten to one, our favor." Ihra says nervously.

 

"Or, or, Katie dumps ice cold water on his head." Abigail says.

"Huh?" Katie asks, looking away from her sky gazing.

 

"That's a bit rude. How'd you like that if someone did that to you?" Ihra says, shivering at the thought.

 

"It'd be extremely painful." Abigail says, suddenly serious.

 

"So then why'd you want to do it to someone else? What if they came back and did it to you?" Ihra asks, still nervous.

 

"Cuz it's funny." Abigail says offhandedly.

 

"So causing people pain is funny for you? Ugh..." Ihra mutters.

 

Abigail sighs, grabbing some of her hair and holding it up for Ihra.

"I don't think you get it." Abigail says, shaking her hair.

 

"I don't think many of us do."
I chime in.

 

"Oh... but still!"

 

I snort.

"I've been waiting for ages already; I don't want to wait even longer!" Abigail whines.

"They do, once or twice a year. It's a long journey from their habitat."

 

"Would he eat even the smallest speck of dust?"

"Fair enough. I'll bring this slime with me and see what it likes. What do they eat?"

 

"Then take a nap! It'll feel like not waiting!" Ihra says happily, obviously considering taking her own advice.

The kick doesn't do much, but they lose their grip.

You've got a torn up shoulder and the other with a dagger in it. Using your sword will be rather difficult now...

"Probably not. He only eats what he sees and recognizes as rocks... or food. Which are the same to him." Keila mumbles.
"Part of me regrets creating him with the mentality I did. At least he gets along with Lisa..."

 

"The ore. And toxic goo. These slimes sort of mutated from the toxic goo that's so common in The Wastelands. I can give you a book about them, as well as other creatures here." I say.

"Written by yours truly, of course."

Helianthus sheaths his sword and starts running around the draconian in a wide circle, firing crossbow bolts at him.

 

You start to lose color in your vision as you keep bleeding.
You can't land a shot, but you force him to keep a distance.

 

Helianthus draws his sword, and then throws it at the draconian with all his might.

 

"We're not all narcoleptic like you, Ihra." Abigail says, gesturing to the others.

Artemis and I seem to have fallen asleep on each other, Katie peacefully skygazes, and Myria meditates.

 

"Heh."
I mutter, chuckling.

 

"What's so funny?" Abigail asks.
