Matthew fires his HoverRail up, and starts to pass the others in the group. Matthew stops, "Well Ill be damned."

 

So sorry to interject, but if the forums ever die this thread and all the replies will be the cause... Calling it now.

 

"Ah, so when is the mission starting?"

We've been joking that if there's a 1k page cap, we're hitting it.

A robotic draconian with blades for wings stands up on Rineth's back.
"Who're you?"

"Negative ten minutes." The healer says sarcastically.
"Like I said, you were late. Guess that's good, because humans aren't known to handle volcanoes well."

 

We'll be willing to take the blame if we reach the max amount of pages.

 

"Volcanoes? Huh."

"Where's the portal?"

 

"Closed. We don't keep it open to minimize things walking in from the other end."

 

"Dang. Any other missions?"

 

"Yeah; explaining to mistress why you were late for your first mission. You've had a week to explore the palace; I'd think that'd be enough to get used to here." the healer mumbles.

 

"Why don't you bring some of the ore to their habitat? That might keep them, at least for a while.

 

"I, am Matthew Drevur. Heir to the throne of Emeraldonia. I am here to see Ihra. Tell her I knew Vesius."

 

"She's asleep, but you do realize he's been dead quite a while now, right?"

 

"I know. I just wanted to send her my regards. But anyways... Nice to meet you. What are we dealing with this time, another mad Draconian? Elemental beast? Giant army?" Matthew says. He then hops off his HoverRail and and sits down on the grass. He starts to think out-load. "If only I would have stuck around at the start. If only I didn't chicken out. Maybe people I cared about would still be here. But fate is fate, and life is only life... I just said that out loud, didn't I?"

"I wonder why though." Helianthus says, looking into the training room.

 

"Because you took too long. Ever heard of the passage of time? It's a thing." They utter sarcastically.

There are several trainees practicing.

 

"So, what do I do now? I ant really go to The Misstress since she's off in another world."

 

"Spar. You looked stupid in your duels against Kyle." She mutters.
