Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I look down at my legs, curious.

 

"That should have been expected..."
He continues walking through the cave.

A few baby Wind Dragons are tugging at your legs.

 

Enqo continues, and all of a sudden he notices that there is a massive floating glob of ball amidst the pile of corpses.

 

I sit down and pet the baby wind dragons.

 

Enqo investigates the glob.

The Wind Dragons are very cold to touch and feel metallic. Soon, a few dozen baby Wind Dragons are surrounding you.

 

I laugh and keep petting them.

 

After a while, they start falling asleep in a pile around you.

 

Once they've fallen asleep, I gently get up and move away from them.

 

More blood flows towards the glob, and some of the carcasses start to merge with the glob. It would probably be a good idea to get some distance.

 

"So... you're going to have a hard time finding it, is what you're saying?"

 

"Nice to meet you Anna, and what do you do? As it seems that everyone here is, well, special in some way, shape or form." Matthew replies.

 

Climbing over them without waking them up proves to be tricky, but you manage.
You notice a figure slowly crawl out of a side passage- oh wait, it's Eras.

Enqo backs away slightly.
"I wonder if that's some sort of slime..."

"Yes, I probably will. The one thing I'm sure of is that I didn't create it anywhere near the sea, and it wouldn't be able to change things that much. So it would have to be somewhere in the Darklands. It was last at the Shrouded Peaks- oh, NOW I know why it created that Serpent..."

"I'm a Krontyri. Which is a powerful race, sometimes called shapeshifters. Though, I don't have as much power as most of us do."

 

"It created something as a distraction? You're not making much sense right now."

 

"No, it destroyed most of the mountain range when I was fighting it, mainly because we blew it up from the inside. Now any landmarks I had won't even exist."

 

"Don't you think that could be the spell going rogue? It sort of sounds like that to me."

 

I walk over to Eras, "I managed to get the babies to fall asleep." I say.

 

The glob slowly starts to take shape into a horrendous beast as more and more carcasses stick to it. One of the mouths on the beast lets out a bellowing roar as more and more carcasses and blood flow towards it and continue to make it grow.

Helianthus looks around the training room to see if Kyle is there.
OOC: Assuming that's enough time for him to get there

 

"It sort of always has been. It doesn't want me to restrict it. The problem with these spells I create is that they want to unlimited things."

"Good. They'll need sleep after months of terror."

"Ah, that thing has a 99.9% chance to be involved in the closure of the mines..."
Enqo waits to see what happens.

 

"Hopefully they don't have nightmares." I say, looking back at the dragons.

 

Kyle's gone, though the healer is still there, sleeping on a mat off to the side of the entrance.

"Why don't you remind it that if it doesn't cooperate, it'll stop existing? Surely that'll put it in its place..." Keila asks, worried.
