Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Looking up is all you needed to do.
"Yes, mortal?"

"Isn't it dead, though?"

 

Helianthus bows.
"My liege, might I humbly request to store my soul core in a vault?"

The slime bubbles on both paths.

 

"Ah, you took that path! Yes, I notified the archivist. Go to the library and ask Emily to stow it."

 

The next few minutes turn into chaos and Wind Dragons and pieces of steak fly everywhere.
When it ends, the Wind Dragons look like they have had enough to eat. However, a few crouch in front of you and look at you pleadingly.

"The dragon? Yes. I meant I was going to have a talk with the spell."

Enqo sighs and goes down the left path.

 

"You gave a spell self awareness?!"

 

I summon a bag of beef jerky, and a few pieces of ham and drop them in front of the dragons, before summoning a few cooked sausages, and a few chicken legs and too dropping them in front of the dragons.

"That's all I got left." I say.

 

"Sort of. I was going to just make a spell which creates monsters, but I decided to make it sentient. I seem to have a habit of making things sentient..."

Before the Wind Dragons in front of you try to take the meat, a larger and older Wind Dragon growls at them. They take the meat, then carry it off down into a few side tunnels.

 

"So... You made a sentient spell. I don't even want to know how that works. Why can't it make things that protect the world, not destroy it?"

 

I draw Shadow Katana, "Hey!" I shout at the larger, older wind dragon, staring it down with glowering red eyes, "You leave them ALONE!"

 

"Thank you, my liege." Helianthus says, bowing again, before going back to the library.

Enqo goes down the left path, which is rather uneventful, eventually getting out of the small canyon. It seems both paths would've led to this same area anyways. The cave appears to make a sharp right ahead of you.

 

"Im Matthew Drevur, one of the few Emeraldonians who aren't six feet under at this point. Ive come here to see Ihra, where is she anyways, when I tracked her presence it led me here... Oh. Forgot you were standing there. Ive been alone for the past few years so I've come accustom to talking to myself so I don't go insane, or maybe I have, see I'm doing it again. Nice to meet you, by the way." Matthew stands at attention and salutes Daras. "I don't know many proper formal greetings, other than the island greetings, which were just, well, blow darts to the neck..."

OOC: A bunch of crazy crap happened in my life, I'm sick, my sister Katelin snapped her hamstring during dance, and I have lost my voice. Not the best week. As well as being rejected at Gamers Guild this week... At least Steven Universe can cheer me up. *Watches latest episode* COME ON FEELS NOT NOW!

 

Emily seems to be waiting at the entry.
"Vault, I know. You ought to get moving soon, anyways. You're about to be called out to a battle, I think."

 

"Finally, some action." Helianthus says, handing the soulcore to Emily.
"Where should I go to?"

 

"I'm not sure. The spell hasn't done anything like this before. Actually, it has, but it hasn't nearly destroyed whole kingdoms in the process, let alone all around the same time."

The Wind Dragon sighs, before going down one of the side passages itself.

He walks around the corner.

"Nice to meet you. I think Ihra went with the others."
He looks at the Hover Rail.
"Interesting piece of technology... anyway, we should probably fly back. They're likely to have been waiting for us."
Another girl walks over to you.
"Hello, I'm Anna."

 

Enqo finds a very massive cavern. It appears to be lit enough for him to see that the Blood River ends there and that there is a massive pile of corpses, carcasses, and bones in front of the river. The slime bubbles, urging you on.

 

"Training room where you dueled Kyle. You'll be dropped in your fort to pick up your gear, then we'll go out and wreak some havoc."

"Is there any way to stop it? Maybe have Anna try something?"

 

"Alright then." Helianthus says, and heads over to the training room.

 

"That's right." I say, crossing my arms.

 

He continues through the large cave.

"I have to check the spell first. The only thing is, it thinks it's funny that it can move places around to create monsters which can do that. Then you lose the landmarks you used to find the location you created the spell, which is the only place you can find out exactly what is going on."

You can hear it muttering and hissing as it goes through the tunnel.
Something gently tugs at your legs.

 

Once he gets a bit away from the entrance, a tremor occurs, and piles and piles of rocks fall down, covering up the entrance.
