Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What are you up to, Stephanie?"
I ask, looking at her.

 

"Just getting a few reinforcements and going exploring while we wait." Stephanie says; her eyes turning purple and glowing.

 

"...What kind of reinforcements?"
I seem skeptical.

 

"Stuff from Aj's place." Stephanie says.

"Wait, what!?" I exclaim, shocked.

 

"Still vague, but I don't think AJ keeps random large monsters caged up in his place, so do what you're doing."
I look at Aj.
"You don't, do you?"

 

"No, but that's not to say there's monsters that could make you into a washing machine that cleans stuff with your own blood in a matter of seconds out in my realm." I say. Stephanie winks at you.

 

"Remind me not to visit."
I smile.

 

"The cities are fine, the outer lands are extremely dangerous." I say.

The fog starts to come together, forming the silhouette of an extremely large beast.

 

"If that's what you're summoning, I hope it's tame."
I say to Stephanie, looking at the fog.

 

"It'll obey me like a pet." Stephanie says.

The fog finally forms, and dissipates. A massive, wolf like beast is left in it's wake, it's red eyes glowing. It leans its head over to the group, snarling and revealing multiple rows of razor-sharp teeth.

 

Crystal notices, but continues laying casually on Rineth.

"You don't see much of that around here."
I say, almost amazed.

 

"Quite the powerful one too." I comment, looking over the beast.

Stephanie jumps onto the beasts back, forcing it to look away from the group.

"Come on, let's go." Stephanie says, patting the beast. It turns around and starts sniffing at the air.

Katie seems to have shifted a lot closer to Crystal since the beast was summoned.

 

Crystal notices, but doesn't make anything of it, so he doesn't move.

"Just going to go exploring? Don't get yourself hurt."
I say to Stephanie.

 

Stephanie laughs, "You should probably be telling me not to hurt anything, not get hurt myself!" She says, scratching behind the ear of her shadow beast; who seems to enjoy it.

Stephanie rides off on her shadow beast.

"I hope she comes back when the others get here. I wonder what's keeping them?" I ask.

 

"Yeah... but she's got her instruments, she'll be back whenever the others come back."

 

"Hmm, well, alright." I say.

"I think there's someone else. That's what's keeping them." Artemis says, a hand on her head.

 

"Forest powers?"
I ask Artemis, as an explanation to how she knows.

 

Artemis nods, "I can sense most of the others in the forest, but there's someone new. I haven't sensed them before." Artemis says.

 

"Hm. Is it possible to get a description of them?"

 

"It's rather hard to sense who they are...but, I think their name is...Matthew? I'm not sure." Artemis says.
