Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Mistress or bust for those kinds of portals." Kyle utters, somewhat suspicious of you as he shoots you an odd glance.

"This is not your domain. Leave forever or die." She shouts angrily.
A sphere of electrified water collects around Keila.

"Eras, stay down. It's some huge dragon thunderbolting the island. If it doesn't leave, it's dead."

 

"Oh well." Helianthus says.

"And before you get the wrong idea, it's just a promise I made them to keep them off of me, and a gift of thanks to one of them that helped me."

 

"Better make sure the haul's dead. Mistress has never let herself live down food that killed hundreds of those out there." He grumbles, going back to his book.

 

"Alright." Helianthus says, getting another book.

 

This whole section seems to be on domesticated animals and their purposes. Most of them don't seem to matter to you; dog care, cat breeds, colorful fish, and the like. There are some more exotic guides regarding gryphons or sea serpents, but it's all regarding domestication and taming.

"Wait... you didn't leave the palace grounds, did you?" Kyle asks, suddenly worried.

 

"Yes, but it is taxing and I can't do too many at a time."

It manages to turn it's head towards you from its position. As it does this, its whole body suddenly twists round to face Keila.
It doesn't seem to want to back down.

"Okay. But if something that large is above the island, try to make sure it doesn't land. If it puts its foot on these caves, it could collapse them."

 

"Reinforce the caves, quick, while it's distracted by me. Use summoned creatures, dark pillars, whatever you can. This is going to be bloody ugly."


"Feisty one, aren't you? Why don't you learn your place? I'll start off easy on you." She shouts, unfazed.
Water begins to fill the dragon's lungs.

 

"I'm going to try using some magic I haven't used in a while..."

It drops out of the sky and lands in the water, creating a large waves going in every direction. It then shoots lightning towards Keila.

 

"Why?" Helianthus's asks.

"I see..." I say.

"I'll try to teleport us over into the fortress, is that fine with you?"

 

Keila bends the waves to force it to the ocean floor, then uses an earthquake to open a fault below it, the erupting lava engulfing the dragon. The lightning merely merges with her shield of electrified water, though making it crackle with even more energy.

"Because if you did, I'd be surprised you weren't food yourself."

 

"Yes, that's fine."

The lightning feels emits a cold aura, causing frost to form.
Lightning crackles all along the sea, and ice starts to form over the surface and the magma. The dragon slowly forces itself against the current.

 

Keila releases the energy in her sphere, hurling the freezing sphere at the dragon to shock it as the sphere shatters.

Using gale winds along with the tides, Keila makes sure it stays down, forcing the ocean water into its nostrils as fast as she can.

 

"Does out of the palace grounds mean the point where the creatures start to ignore the path?"

"Alright."
Everything goes black for a moment, and then all of a sudden Enqo and I are inside the fortress. I point to a blocked off entrance,
"Down there is the mine. I'll be waiting for you up here."

 

"Yes, that's where the path is more of a guideline than a... well... path."

 

"Mavis stopped me from going that far."

 

"You named one?" He asks, rolling his eyes.

 

"Using a name is easier than calling them by what they look like."

 

"Fair point. I guess you have a bit of a fanbase now, though. Was it serpentine or quadruped?"

 

The dragon seems to be knocked down completely for a second. However, it seems more shocked than hurt.
Some water gets into it's nose, but some sort of scaly plate closes inside them. Gills appear on its sides.
It still tries to blast lightning through the water.

"Hopefully there aren't too many objects to pass through..."
He passes through the entrance, before walking into the mines.

 

Keila keeps bending water away from her, but a hurled lance spinning straight at the dragon's eye narrowly misses Keila, distracting her for a moment until she notices Rina is behind her.
