"What will you call me, then?"

 

"How about Mavis?"

 

"Mavis? I'm honored to have been given a name at all. Thank you, Helianthus."

 

"You're more than welcome." Helianthus says, continuing to walk along the path.

 

Mavis continues spiraling you as you both follow the path.
"How long do you plan to walk down the path? Surely the queen must expect you back at some point."

 

"Perhaps, perhaps not. There are many people who are just as willing as I am to take up orders from The Mistress, and I understand that it must be a hassle for her to keep track of all her servants."

 

"So... You're trying to ditch her?"

 

"No. If she calls upon me, then I shall go to her service. If she does not call upon me, then I am free. Like a mercenary, but working for free and with no strings attached."

 

The Wind Dragons hungrily eat the two flowers.
The first one says, "Thank you... even those flowers are helping us survive longer. Can you bring us some more? We mainly need meat, but some metal too."

"Yes, I can travel through them. That helped me follow the group for a while."

 

"Ah, alright. And why specifically have you been following the group?"

 

"Thanks. But I don't need it. Acid is like water to me. I can bend it, shape it, use it as a weapon." Rogue jabs at one of the plants and they to disintegrate. "As the legend said, this right here is a blade made of acid, dipped in gold, if anyone not of royal blood touch this blade they will die."

 

Crystal just smiles, and lays down on Rineth, relaxing.

 

"The group is interesting. I also know Eras, so I wanted to watch him."

The girl says, "Interesting weapon... but I don't think you can do this!"
She takes out a sickle... which soon turns into a copy of your sword?
"If you're worrying about that legend and the royal blood thing, the weapon isn't an exact copy, it just looks the same. There isn't any acid."
She leaps at the plants and starts cutting them to pieces.

 

"Ah. I know Im off duty, but I cannot resist the urge." I say, pulling out my quill and journal. "Can you please tell me all you know about Draconians?”

 

"Ah, that makes more sense. How long have you served her?"

"I'll see what I can do."

"Eras, they're starving. Do you know where any extra meat and metal are?"

"I see some of the others coming right now. Ihra, at least, is almost here."

 

"Wow. A shape-shifting weapon? I mean ive seen shape-shifters but never shape-shifting weapons." Matthew then starts slicing up the plant monsters, "You know, its exactly like trimming hedges. Except the hedges don't try to kill you!"

 

"Nice."
Crystal says calmly, still lying down.

Thirteen trails behind the group, casually walking.

 

"Sadly, I don't know much, as I haven't been with the group for very long. So far, I will only know as much as you."

"I'll help with the meat. As for the metal... it will take longer to get to it of course, but they need food more. There should be lots of metal lying around in the Shrouded Peaks, the mountains in the north of the Darklands."

 

"Thanks. I'll let them know."

"My comrade is helping with the food. Can you tell me what's forcing you to starve?"

"You seem calm for the circumstances. You realize that we're hunted like criminals, correct?"
