Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I'm shocked to be forced from the hosts body, the shock only overtaken by the piecing light. "AAAAARGGHHHH!" I scream as I feel my essence burning away. I feel pain, an alien feeling having it be absent from me for so long. Then, suddenly, I remember, the rock!

The rock I picked up from earlier turns dark, into a crystal. I quickly possess the newly formed crystal; Safety, finally.

 

I look around for Aj, then stare at where Vei was.
"Well....."
I choke a bit, without coughing.
"then...."

 

"I SEE YOU!" She screams, beating the crystal with the blunt end of her staff.
The crystal fails to remain dark for long. The light seems to pierce it.
"Ihra, what the hell are you... I... Know what? Just... Just go with what works."

EDIT (OOC): Maybe I should mention that Ihra's taken part of your soul...

...Her staff isn't nicknamed "The Spirit Prison" for nothing.

 

OCC: Oh God not more character death please why oh god crying WHY DOES EVERYONE DIE. This brings back so many bad memories oh my god

OCC: I contemplated ten more sets of dots.

 

The crystal shatters, releasing what appears to be darkness itself.

I reform from the darkness, Shadow Katana unsheathed, and slightly larger than before.

I grab the staff off of Ihra with one quick swipe, and boom "LOOK. Fighting won't get us anywhere, ALRIGHT? Let's calm down, there's NO NEED to be at each other's throats OK!?"

 

"You...
... Should
... Die..."

OCC: Ahhhhh why oh my god (Holding back Fates spoilers. I'll have to take it on the shout box)

 

OOC: If Vei died, there'd be a corpse. She can heal herself.

Spoiler: Partially Since...

Chrononegation can rewind time. Recent wounds are easily healed this way.

"You could use some of your own advice right now." I roll my eyes.

The Radiance continues to wear at you.
Ihra takes a step back, laughing.
Her staff's weight seems to exponentially increase.
You get pinned to the ground.

She spits at you.

 

OCC: Oh okay. Good.

 

I throw the staff back at Ihra, wiping the spit off of me.

I say "Now, let's rewind a bit, we could all use a little recap on the events that've happened. I got a little carried away, I was defensive, and I admit that maybe I got too carried away. Ihra faints, you revive her and then I get tangled in vines despite apologising for what I did. Everything sounding alright? So then you try and blast me to pieces, yet I survive that. Now, I'm willing to clean the slate here, ignore all that. I've learned that you're very defensive about Ihra, and ya know, I can understand that. I have someone to protect too. So, how about we try and pick up the pieces and continue what's left of this introduction,"

"So, what's your name, Ihra's Father?" I say politely.

 

The spit corrodes you slightly.
"I'm not even her brother."
"He's Vesius."
"Again, if you think you can become a thorn in our side and say 'sorry' just to do it all over again, we won't hold back."
"I could just tear you in half where you stand. My pets told me that your soul was fun to play with."
"We won't unless you start pushing the envelope again."
"And if it comes down to that... well..."
"Her mother will probably be the one to actually kill you."
"Maybe use that spike thing against you."
"For now, though, we'll forgive you."
"I don't think I have a father."
"Yes you do..."
"Oh, right. He's never here."
"Just grab your staff."

 

I sigh

A deep feeling of regret overcomes me "Look, I'm sorry. I'm not usually like this, I shouldn't have done the things I did," I apologise.

A small, wooden Golem-like entity appears in my hand. I put it on the ground and let it wander. "I lost control of myself, and I ended up hurting you." I say as I watch the wooden Golem stumble around its new terrain "I'm sorry if I scared you Ihra, and I'm sorry for possessing and hurting you, Vesius," I say with a sorrowful tone, watching the Golem examine odd rocks intently. "To try and make it up to you, to try and better the impression I've made, I'll help out with anything you need." I say, picking up the Golem.

A dark aura surrounds the Golem in my hand; it disappears.

 

"You didn't even possess me. You possessed her mother, who is now probably out for your end."
"Considering she's destroyed worlds singlehandedly, uh... good luck."
"We'll do what we can to get you off the top of her kill list, but again, we'll let it slide."
"Why am I even here anyways?"
"You think I'd know?"
"Right, you were busy dying."
"Just... rrrgh."
Ihra laughs.

 

I feel relieved.

Suddenly, I remember something. I ask "So, you said you're not from here. What did you mean by that?"

 

I immediately look panicked.
"Uhm... can you ask that later mayb-"
"We're from another world. This one's weird, it's not all floaty and stuff. It also has not-dragons. I'm confused."
"You're not helping his opinion of you."
"DID HE CALL ME STUPID AGAIN?!"
"ohshitNo, he didn't."
"Good." Ihra glares at me, then you, then back to me. It looks more cute than intimidating.

 

I produce a strange cup with a handle, and a ball. I attempt to throw the ball into the cup, and miss (intentionally), I then show that the ball is attached to the cup with a string. I hand this to Ihra and say "Try getting the ball in the cup!" hoping it'll distract her.

"I've heard of various other realms, some containing the aspects of the ones you've described. Perhaps you got here through a tear in space and time, like me?" I ask.

 

Ihra seems pacified.

"Yeah, something like that. Not sure how I lived, antimatter doesn't usually work in a bio-friendly way."

"Is this impossible or something?!" Ihra shrieks.

 

"Hmm, the portal I came through was relatively small, but due to my, how shall I say, "Immunities", I was fairly unscathed," I say, glancing back at the ground I disrupted when I entered this realm.

"Do you remember the size of the tear you came through?" I ask.

 

"I was unconscious. Still weakened by the event, but I'm alive... barely."

 

"Hmm..." I ponder for a moment.

"Do you remember anything before this event? I simply cut my hole with Shadow Katana to go to get some popcorn for my friends back in my world, then I ended up being sucked into this dimension and, well, you know the rest."

 

"Yeah, I went to grab a locket off a deceased friend... It was his last wish. I was ambushed when I got near his corpse, but opted to grab it anyways."
I show you a locket with a light blue crystal as a centerpiece. It's cracked down the middle.
"Though, that war's been going on for generations by now. I've never been caught out so badly before."
