"So he can just create things whenever he wants to just to run an experiment?"

 

"I don't know; I don't think so though." Stephanie says.

 

"Well, alright. I don't have a very nice opinion towards scientists. I really do hope that he's not just creating Crystal for his experiment then leaving him to die when he's done."

 

"He's nice; he gave Crystal a life to enjoy, and he intends to leave Crystal to experience life for himself." Stephanie says.

 

"Good. Crystal's cheerful, and cool, and fun, from what I've seen. Ignorant, almost. I don't think he knows what he's getting into if he joins us."
I saw, looking out towards the water.

 

"Yeah, I'm not sure about him coming with us. He seems more naive than Katie." Stephanie says.

 

"For a rock, he's awfully soft, and colorful, almost like his eyes. He's one-of-a-kind, also. I'd hate to see the world lose that. I'm not sure about him coming with us either. But if he's going to be a stickler about coming with us, we better tell him what this is really about."

 

"Yeah, we should tell him the risks of being with us and let him decide if he wants to come with us." Stephanie says.

 

"Once he gets out of the water, we should probably tell him."

 

"Agreed." Stephanie says.

 

I simply go back to the water's edge, waiting for when Crystal comes out.


Crystal gets bored of being a ring in the ground, so he shape-shifts back into a human form, and checks to see if Katie has stirred.

 

Katie remains eerily asleep, though she looks peaceful.

 

Crystal smiles, and looks around. Looking upwards, he spots me looking at him through the water.

 

Stephanie just watches you, sitting on the ground.

 

Crystal's head pokes out of the water.
"Hi?"

 

"Thanks for the offer, but I meant conjuring some snow or ice. I'm not a rookie mage. And I doubt I'll want a sleeping bag, so just plan on me not needing one."

"Depends. Why?"
He drags his blade against the ground, and an earthen extension collects on the edge. It's about twice as long, but he hasn't slowed down a bit. He runs as fast as you are, causing you to circle the middle of the arena.

 

"I'm wanting to kill one." HH says, shooting his crossbow once before tossing it to the side.

 

"Okay." I keep walking ab it more until it gets dark.
