"Oh, I went to see the heart of this forest; I wanted to make sure things were alright and had a few questions." Artemis says.

 

"Heart of the forest?"
Crystal seems intrigued.

 

"It's the being that controls all life in the forest; essentially the forest itself. If the forest heart dies, the forest does too. It's a forest guardians duty to also protect their forest heart." Artemis says.

 

"Hm. Was it nice? The heart, I mean."

 

"Of course, forest hearts aren't hostile to their protectors!" Artemis says happily.

 

"Not hostile, just rude or mean. But if they aren't, then okay. I've never met one, so I wouldn't know."

 

"Well, I've never a met a rude or mean forest heart, and I'm sure they'd be happy to speak with you if you mean no harm to them or their forest." Artemis says happily.

 

"That might be nice, sometime."
Crystal smiles.

 

Artemis smiles back.

 

Crystal looks at the cat, next to the root.
"Is the cat made by the forest as well?"

 

"No, haha, that's me." Artemis says. Her left hand seems to be glowing a light green and twitching slightly.

 

"Oh. So you can create golem-like creatures as well?"

 

"Sort of, I'm just controlling the cat to make it look like it's real; it's just vines moving about though." Artemis says.

 

"Like a puppet. That's pretty cool!"

"Yeah, like a puppet haha," Artemis says, "I can do it with people and animals too; but it's much harder."

"You can force people to do things, or you can re-created them in vines?"
Crystal asks suspiciously.

"I can take over their mind and make them do whatever I want; though it takes a lot of focus." Artemis says, in an oddly calm fashion.

 

"Cool! I hope you don't often do that to your friends, though."

 

"Only when I need to." Artemis says, chuckling.
