Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

This seems to blind her for a moment, and she falls into the brush on the sides of the path.

 

"It is. It can cut a hole in space and time itself; and I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't try to scare my friends like that." I say, sheathing Shadow Katana.

"Oh, it is you Crystal!" Katie says happily, walking over.

"We should probably head back to the others. No doubt this path will lead us to it; I trust in the forest to not lead us astray." Artemis says.

 

"Sorry. I don't really find a talking shark scary... but okay. I'll be more careful."
Crystal says to Aj, then turns to Katie.
"Yeah! It's me!"
Crystal says happily.

 

"I'd consider anything that could be a threat to my party something to be wary of." I say.

"It's just Crystal, Aj. He's super nice!" Katie says happily.

 

"...Alright, yeah, let's go with 'he'. Nice to meet you, Aj!"

 

"Nice to meet you, Crystal. So where'd you come from? You don't exactly have life, so Artemis might freak out a little." I ask.

 

"One of the islands, out here in the ocean. Does she really freak out about things not having life? I get she's a forest guardian, but okay."

 

"It's mainly robots, since they're powered by electricity. Since you're magic, I guess she would simply think you're a golem." I say.

 

"Alright. Thing is, I might not be a golem. But I could pass for one."

 

"You're more of a construct, right?" I ask.

 

"I guess so. I wasn't really directly created by someone."

 

"What were you created by? Or did you sort of create yourself from a simple orb of magic?" I ask.

 

"Not entirely sure. I'm sure it wasn't an orb of magic, or item, but something just came along, and created me, and taught me magic. Never really got the answer to what it was."

 

"What magic do you know?" I ask.

 

"I'm an all-rounded mage. Excluding trinkets, or magic items. But I can't do anything too big."

 

"Can you create fireballs?" Abigail asks, throwing a fireball up and catching it.

 

Suddenly, Crystal's eyes are set aflame.
"Yeah. I can. But nothing that I can catch without just willing it to stay in my hand. Unless the thing I make into a fireball is already solid."

 

"You can't just make fireballs? Like...at will?" Abigail asks, throwing her fireball up. It starts to circle her quickly when it gets back to her level.

 

Crystal's eye are no longer on fire.
"Yeah, I can,"
He says, creating two fireballs, and letting them fly around, making sure they don't hit anyone.
"But I can't hold them. I'd need to set something else on fire before I hold it."

 

Abigail's fireball suddenly hits her in the face, though surprisingly, it doesn't look like it just got jammed in a waffle toaster.

"You immune to fire by any chance?" Abigail asks.
