Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"So...do I gain any magical powers whilst in here?" Katie asks.

 

After a few moments, the thing responds.
"Hi... Is anyone else with you?"

 

"If you were to stay here for a while, your magic would be enhanced. After a few years, you would start to heal extremely quickly. Just being here relaxes all beings too."

 

"Yes, quite a few others."

 

I take a look at Katie, and then Ihra, who seems to be wondering at something.
I then decide to test something, and stick my eye sockets barely underwater, and check if any water got in them.

 

"I-I'm not sure if I want to stay in here too long." Katie says nervously.

 

Water goes straight into them as normal. However, when removed from the water, the water leaves his eye sockets.

"Don't worry, just relax here."
As if to emphasise what the lake is saying, Katie feels more relaxed.

 

The figure, which by now is clearly made out of some crystal, looks at where Katie and Thirteen are.
"Do you know anything about this place, or these waters? It seemed nice, so I decided to stay here for a bit."

 

Katie closes her eyes, relaxing.

 

Deciding that it still might not be a good idea to swim, I just continue to relax in the water.

 

"Barely. My group and I came here recently."

 

"What are you aiming to do here? Or are you just here to relax?"

 

A while later, the voice says, "More comfortable now?"

Thirteen notices that Daras is meditating on the edge of the water.
Idala and Hythania can't be seen. Aura, the wyvern and Anna's Shadecorn, Frosty, are staying away from the water and are relaxing on the shore. Hryth is lying in the water, seeming to drink it.
Anna and Eras are also relaxing in the lake.

 

"Y-Yes," Katie says nervously, "You're not going to force me to stay here, are you?"

 

I take note of all this, and simply continue relaxing in the water, waiting until eventually says that it's time to go, or something drastic happens.

 

"No, we won't. You can leave whenever you want. Why would we keep you here forever?"

 

"It's just...you sort of make it feel like you want me here. The relaxation, the healing properties. I-I only want to stay here for a bit." Katie says.

 

"We, the lake, were originally created by Eras as a place to relax for a long time. Of course, we enjoy having people here, but if anyone wants to leave, the forest can lead them out."

 

"Oh, Eras created you? I guess you can't be that bad then..." Katie says, relaxing a lot more.

 

"I'm not sure. I didn't expect the lake to be this relaxing."
