Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I smile, and make a sound that sounds like a laugh without opening my mouth.

 

"What was that?" Artemis asks, confused, giving you an odd look.

 

"Me being amused."
I smile again.

 

"Sure, haha, sounded weird." I say, still laughing.

"I hope Abigail and Mother are alright..." Artemis says, slightly worried.

 

"They'll be fine. Each of them are powerful, and it's not like they can't handle anything that just randomly attacks them. And look at the bright side, we're about to see a beautiful lake. It's going to be great. Don't crush the experience for yourself."

 

"Yeah, I'm sure they're fine." Artemis says, cheering up.

"They'll come find us if they need anything anyway. It's not like Myria can be easily killed." I say, smiling up at Artemis.

 

"Or Abigail. She can turn into a dragon."

 

"Dragons are cool, therefore Abigail is cool. That's all there really is to say on the matter." I say, slightly serious.

"Haha, yeah. Let's go see this lake!" Artemis says happily.

 

With that, I start walking ahead of Daras, but still in the direction he was going.

 

The elevator's going down, stopping at the first floor.

 

I press the button for the elevator.

 

It comes up to you, empty.

A thought strikes you; if you go to the third floor now, if the other person is watching the floor counter, they'll know where you are.

 

I stand there, unmoving. I watch the elevator.

 

Since you don't enter, the door closes in front of you.

 

I look to see what floor the elevator is on, and whether it's going up or down.

 

It's not moving.
The door automatically closes after a while, it seems.

 

I wait a bit longer.

 

Still nothing.
The elevator is still on your floor.

 

I reluctantly enter, and press the 2nd floor button.

 

Once it gets to the second floor, you see someone in the stairwell.
