Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sgavrinn is sniffing at the four-winged beast.
"I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Keila, Goddess of Storms."

 

"It's nice to meet you, Keila. Katie tells me you wanted to talk to Daras?" Artemis asks.

 

"I wanted to see what was in the Lost Kingdom. I feared Daras was raising an army for another attack."

 

"Heh, that's funny. We're here for the same reason," Artemis says, "Daras hasn't really been raising an army. Well, I don't think he has. He's mainly been travelling with us."

Katie walks over to the other group, smiling as she does so.

 

"Oh... That's a relief."
Keila just collapses, exhausted.
"Mother!"
"Rina, she's just tired."

 

Artemis grows some cotton around Keila, hopefully making the ground a little softer.

"I know how she feels, haha." Artemis says, laughing slightly.

 

The storm in the distance dissipates, and the weather here becomes clear.
"She hasn't had rest for months."

 

"Wow, that's surprising. Why hasn't she rested?" Artemis asks, confused.

 

"She maintains the storms around the world. Anything abnormal is her trying to protect our homeland. Katie's been there; nobody knows how to fight."

 

"That's rather odd. Why doesn't anyone know how to fight?" Artemis asks.

 

"We never needed to. It's peaceful."

 

"Just because it's peaceful doesn't mean that the peace will last forever! If you get attacked, you need to know how to defend yourself! You never know when you'll find yourself facing someone you have to fight." Artemis says.

 

"You cannot prepare for war and enjoy peace. We have lived in harmony forever. The rest of the world? Chaos. I want to help mother preserve our home."

 

"Can you tell me where we are now, or do you want to keep that secret?"

OOC: I'm guessing Daras would have noticed Keila and the Daughters of Storm by now?

 

"You can't keep peace and harmony forever. Eventually, someone's going to come along and make your world fall around you," Artemis says, looking away, "I speak from experience."

Artemis tries her best to make sure her eyes aren't seen.

 

OOC: Yep.

"I'll keep that secret. Just know it's a cave."

"I know, but we fight so they don't have to."
"Let mother have her ideals..."

 

"Fair enough. If it's a cave though, anyone could have been here before. And where are the bodies of other people?"

"Aria and Rina again? And Keila?!"

 

"Sorry I...have to go." Artemis says, before quickly walking away, trying to not let her face be seen.

 

"I may have used excessive force."

"Mother didn't get the memo you weren't plotting against us still."

Sgavrinn follows Artemis, looking at her sadly.
"What's wrong, Artemis? Are you okay?"

 

"Just some...unpleasant memories." Artemis says through tears. She hugs Sgavrinn, crying.
