Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I stop.
I look at you a bit like you're an idiot, and a bit with the expression saying Who the hell are you?
"Generally, you ask differently, depending on the urgency of the situation. If the urgency is small, then you say something along the lines of, 'Hi, do you think you could help me with something?' If the urgency is high, you typically say something like, 'You! I need your help right now! And quickly, too!' And then, if the person or thing you are asking assistance of is especially nice, or is trying to achieve the same goal, they might say, 'Sure, I'll help you.' If they are even the tiniest bit stubborn, however, they will ask for something in return of the favor that they are preforming, and depending on what you will do for them, they may or may not help you. It appears that we are at the same goal - getting to Eras."
I look your glove and staff.
"Those seem powerful."
I gesture to the items.

 

As you tell me about asking for help, I furrow my brow and nod, taking you completely seriously. When you mention Eras, I jump and quickly look around me as if I heard something sneaking up behind me. Glancing around me intermittently, I say, all to casually, but quieter than should be normal, "H'bout we just skip that and avoid the awkward reunion and go do something else...?"
I search for the words, then, as if I'm solving some sort of riddle, "You! I need your help right now! And quickly too!"
I laugh slightly, and look at you in expectation, looking for confirmation of my success, but also slightly nervously as if I think you've made a threat against me.

 

Grinning wildly, I say,
"Why hello there sir! What is that of which you need assistance?"
With a tone of voice alike I'm acting.

 

OCC: O_O Yeah. Technically the Watchers are just *ehm* things encased in rocks.

"You're worse than a person... then..."

There's more howling behind you, expectedly. The Watcher you struck nearly crushed you as it fell to the ground, landing right beside you. The inside of the Watcher is ablaze, the flames eating at the rock. Only an open husk is left where the giant once was.

The Watchers walk towards you, leisurely. "Your life for our two brothers... It is never even." The voice seems empty. "If your sister was killed, how would you feel? Would you even keep fighting?"

The ground cracks open between you and the Watchers, a hardly visible glow of lava.

One of the Watchers throws a jagged stone at you, but a wall of lava shoots up from the cracks and seemingly grabs it, pulling it into the earth.

"If you've got this... Go ahead and kill them, I suppose. They'll just rise up again, otherwise." I say telepathically. "Or if you need, I can... ground them? Stone them? I don't know."

The Watchers look baffled- angry, even. "Intervention, that filthy little..."

OCC: I'm not even being subtle with this one o_O

 

I hop up and down while giggling like a kindergartner. The ploy has worked! Then, I become dead serious and say in a hushed voice,
"I need you to tell me where Daras is."

 

"If my... sister... How do..."
I collapse.

A beam of light, a flash.
A Draconian who looks just like me, horns curled rather than jagged, stands next to where I lie. Their scales are as pure white as mine are black.

"If his sister died... Well, I wouldn't be about to KICK YOUR SORRY ASS!!"

She slams her rapier into the ground. Hundreds of bolts of light energy decimate the remaining Watchers.

"Hey, lady." She forces a telepathic link.
"Let me make one thing clear.

Except for me...

...NOBODY gets to kill him. Got that? Hope so."

A similar pillar of light, and the only thing left is a scorched sigil on the ground where her rapier was.

 

I continue my acting tone, but I clap my hands together, spread my fingers out, and put my pointer fingers at my bottom lip.
"Oh. The Daras as in the one that wields a dagger, and has quite the relationship with Eras?"

I put my hands down.

"I, personally, do not know where he is. However, I was just on my way to meet someone who might, although it seems as though you don't wish to interact with that being."

I'm referring to Eras.

 

OCC: Holy crap. . . .

"... Well that just... Okay then. No one's killing him in general but... Whatever."

 

It takes an hour for me to come to.
"rrgh... r-reflet? you... still with me? is the... are the... that town... are they alive?" The telepathic link is weakened. So is my voice through it.

 

"Yes, they're still okay. Every single Watcher is... Dead." I'm kind of bitter. "The townspeople are celebrating."

 

"are they celebrating because the watchers are dead... or because they think i am?"
The connection is slowly getting back to normal strength.

 

"Just the Watchers. They... Hate you less, but some are still blaming you for everything."

 

"Great then... Pardon me while I try and stan-GYAAAAAAHHHHthehell...

The telepathy fails.

 

"..."
I teleport back to where Vesius was fighting the Watchers.

 

"Ah. I see."

I stare off into the distance, uneasy, then sigh, coming to a resolution.

"I suppose there's no putting it off any longer. Very well! We will go after Eras and find out from him where Daras resides," I proclaim as if I had been the one to think of this plan myself.

"Let the end begin," I whisper as I stride off in the wrong direction.

 

Well, you did say some people had still blamed me.

One looks in fear at you, blade bloodied.

 

OCC: Wait, who's "one" in this? A random person? And they like, attacked you and that's why their blade is bloodied? Sorry, I'm tired.

 

Pretty much, but one of the guards.
"one" refers to the guard who went out alone. (and attacked me)

 

OCC: Oh okay. Murder murder murder murder murder

"If I were you, I would run to the edge of the earth and I would bury myself, because if you don't, I will send one thousand suns upon you and your loved ones, and you will burn in an inferno FOr EoNS tO CoMe." I hiss, splitting the ground open in front of the guard.

OCC: Mmm... that poor guard.

 

They swallow hard.
"I... They woke the... What have they done for you? I... Nevermind. Please... Spare them."
They jump into the crevasse.
