Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I catch up to her, swimming, and when I get near her, I touch the wall, swimming slowly, and I wave at her.
I then set off swimming again.

 

"I get it, I will..."

Several analysts come out.

 

Katie swims after you, quickly catching up to you and grabbing you, taking you back. She points upwards, and a tunnel is above her. You can just about see sunlight at the very top.

 

I make a thumbs-up in understanding, and I start swimming upwards, through the tunnel.

 

You feel a strong jet of water carry you upwards. Katie swims up past you, and you eventually hit the surface.

You find yourself back in the middle of the hot spring. Katie rests at the side; her fish tail still present.

"Welcome back, Thirteen. I'm glad you found Katie alright." Stephanie says from the edge of the spring.

 

"Thanks."
I say to Stephanie, climbing out of the spring.
I also take the goggles off, and hand them to Stephanie.
"Also, thanks for lending me these."

 

"No problem! I'm glad they didn't get damaged. They're part of a costume." Stephanie says, de-summoning the goggles.

"A costume for what?"
I ask, curious.

 

"Oh, just a character from a video game." Stephanie says, giggling.

 

"Oh. Nice."
I say, smiling.

 

Stephanie smiles back.

 

"Has anyone gotten more annoyed by Dominus while we were gone?"
I ask her.

 

"Not really. He's kept to his questioning of the others; luckily Abigail isn't going crazy. I haven't seen Drake in a while, though." Stephanie says.

 

"I don't think I'll much miss him, though."

 

"Yeah, me neither. He was pretty annoying." Stephanie says.

 

"He was just kind of a nuisance in general. I'm glad that Abigail isn't going crazy as well. We could do without some disruption for a while."

 

"Yes, he can make it another fifteen, but please try to hurry. He can't stay like this forever." I say. I take a seat in the waiting room.

 

"Yeah, it's nice to calm down and reset yourself." Stephanie says happily.

 

I look at Katie, then back at Stephanie.
"Yeah. Resting's always a good thing to do."
