"Are you a friend of the Guardian?" The fairy asks.

 

"I think so, but I can't answer that question properly for her."

 

"How are you a ghost? Have I died too?" The fairy asks, tilting her head.

 

"'Chrono Leeches' sounds awfully derogatory. At least 'Destroyer of Worlds' or 'God of Destruction' sounds like a title of power."

 

"No, you're alive. See, I'm a hybrid, but my physical body is badly wounded. I'm capable of controlling my spirit at will, and I can see and move along the spectral plane."

 

"Is there anything I could do to help? You sound like you need help. Is that why you came to see the Guardian?" The fairy asks.

 

"I came because she ran off and was hurt. Her soul looked damaged, and I can mend that; I did mend that. She granted me sanctuary, and I couldn't possibly ask for any greater amount of help than that."
She pauses.
"Katie and her friends are kind, and I want to return the favor. I cannot predict what I see, though, and as a prophet, that has caused people to attack me over what I see."

 

"So the Guardian has helped you, and you're simply returning the favour? What about the other, holding her? Is he returning a favour too?" The fairy asks.

 

"He is only concerned for her safety."

 

"Ah, I see." The fairy says, before flying off to the fairies near Thirteen.

Most of the fairies around you disperse, and they seem to have calmed down with your presence.

 

"Why does that make a difference? Can some people detect certain items?"

"So I have two beings not telling me anything about themselves... great."

"Maybe, but we are powerful... usually. If you want to, I can show examples of what we have done. Only memories, as most of the places have been destroyed by now or have just faded with us, but that happens to everything in the end."

 

"They cannot detect me, nor can they detect nothing. Thus, you're a problem."

"Ah, you see, he's wasted so much of our time. We are the Hive, and we want him dead."

 

"At least I'm not nothing then..."

"The Hive? First time I've heard of you. Sounds like some criminal gang trying to rule the world. Personally, I would have tried on my own first."

 

"They can trace you. If they find you, they find me."
Pause.
"I know it's dumb, but forgive me for killing you."

Four energy spheres form a cage of sorts around Arnold, supressing any teleportation and keeping him in its bounds.



"We are no gang. We are perfection; we do not wait for evolution. Now, stop talking back, it's complicating things."

 

"A bit more than just being extremely shy then, isn't it?"

"That use of 'we' just says 'evil organisation' to me. The rest says, "I want more power". But is that power over others or a desire to be higher in the organisation?"

 

"They can't trace you if you're dead. Still, note how I still haven't shown my face."


"We are one. There is but one heirarch; serve him or die."

So, I stopped doing the rp because I forgot to reply for a few days, and now it's lost in the 620 pages. Luckily, I remember I was hiring a doctor to come out and treat Opal:

I politely ask the person at the hospital desk, "Would you be able to send a doctor to the outskirts of town? A friend of mine is severely injured, and needs a doctor as soon as possible. They cannot move, so I'm afraid we'd need someone to come out of the city.

 

"Very well. I wish to see some examples."

 

"What kind of wound, sir? We can't send out a whole IV."

 

The girl walks in slowly, still keeping her hand on her tome. She glances quickly around the house.
