Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie stops drinking her phial, halfway through drinking it, spitting the rest back.

"One chance, asshole." Shadow Stephanie says, disappearing.

Katie tries to get up from the ground, using ice to help her. She's covered in various cuts and bruises from being thrown across the ground; her tears only cleaning the dirt from her face.

"He's playing by our rules. That aggression was on us."

Pause.
"Though, mister Terrae, was it? We're not lying. Sir Robert pissed Artemis' father off, was slain, and is now a flower."

Ihra starts healing Katie's wounds.

 

I walk over to Katie, helping her get up.
"Make it steel bars, not a spider's web string, Katie."
I tell her.

 

"I'll need to see it with my own eyes to believe it. And perhaps his word."

I pick up my notebook and quill and sit down on the ground and proceed to start writing down notes and drawing more sketches.

FH gasps in astonishment and horror.

"How?!"

 

Katie tries to wipe the tears from her face, but fresh tears just replace them, "Th-Thanks..." She says sadly.

Katie walks back to the hot sping, but as she enters, she swiftly spins around and shouts "I hate you!"

Noticing FH next to Myria, she then shouts, "I hate you both!" tears running down her face.

 

"I don't care what you believe, but I'd think he's hiding from you."

"Well this fell apart..." Ruby mutters.

 

Katie runs into the hot spring, crying, diving under the water in the centre.

 

"Hey, Katie?" Ruby asks telepathically, far more gentle than usual.
"You can hate the flowery freak all you want, but he's throwing illusions around. I think he's trying to get us to turn on each other. When all this is said and done, don't put too much of it on Myria."

 

I walk over to the hot spring, after Katie, and sit at the edge.

 

"I...I don't b-blame...Myria," Katie replies, clearly still crying, "I...I HATE DRAKE!"

Katie cries more, slightly louder.

The hot spring remains silent, the water gently bouncing from the edges from the disturbance Katie created.

 

I put my finger in the spring, making circular motions in the water to amuse myself with the ripple effect.

 

The spring seems to have cooled a bit. A few small whirlpools emerge from your finger, spiralling outwards.

 

I take my finger out of the pool, and see if I can spot a Katie-like figure in the water.

 

The spring seems fairly clear, though there looks to be a tunnel of sorts in the centre of the pool, turning dark as it goes down.

 

I take no notice, and FH remains silent.

"Can I go back down now? There's nothing left to watch." FH asks Myria.

"That's logical." I reply.

I begin taking down notes on what Ruby and the other Draconians are doing.

 

"...No, I think you've caused enough trouble already. You'll stay with me until you apologise to Katie and the others." Myria says.

 

Noticing this, I get an idea.

I walk over to Stephanie, and quietly say to her,
"Hey, do you have any goggles? As in, some my size?"

 

"Uh, let me see." Stephanie says. A purple glow appears in her hands, and after a moment, a pair of metal rimmed-goggles with glass lenses appear, hanging from a leather strap.

"Here." Stephanie says, handing you the goggles.

 

"Thanks. I'm going to go check on Katie, okay?"
I ask her, waiting for her response.

 

"Ah, until the end of time?" FH asks sarcastically.
