Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Again, I'd suggest continuing to talk about this with the gods. If you're trying to play into their lore, I'm not judge and jury.

"We figured that much. What's it doing this far from... Well... Other dragons?" Riihs looks a bit suspicious.

 

"You know that there was some sort of monster outside Runetrel on the coast of the Darklands? Well, it was the pet of a 'Daughter of Storm'. Don't ask me who she was, because I've only just found out about her either. She comes from a kingdom which nobody, except Daras and the Lost Kingdom, knew about. Which also has a GOD we didn't know about."

It's fine for me if he joins. And I'm not sure if it would affect the other Gods, since his lore was only really to do with Eras.

 

OOC: I thought there was a Brisingr element. I'll reread his app at lunch.

"Another god? Isn't that reason enough to take a look? We may as well inform ourselves with what Daras knows at this point... Or I can, if you're busy and you don't need help."

 

OOC: He can summon fire using a pair of gloves but that's as close as he gets I think.

"Yes, I probably is a good idea to check that kingdom out while we have the chance. Speaking of which, when I went to the Lost Kingdom, I saw a storm in the distance. There was someone riding this strange creature nearby too. I guess that might be a place to start."

 

"Maybe there's more than one Daughter of Storms? Also, maybe the storm is protecting their kingdom... Maybe the Goddess commands storms... It'd explain the name the girl gave you."

 

"This is quite possible... but there is really only one way to find out."
I change our course (OOC: we are still flying, right?) towards the Lost Kingdom.

OOC: Now I really feel sorry for 13... he was running all the way to where we found Daras and now we are flying in the opposite direction, out into the ocean... gg.

 

OOC: Yep.

She seems content following you.
"Think he's already there?"

 

"A long while back, I found it in an egg. But, the thing that I would like to know, have you got any idea what to feed it with?" The dragon jumps out of my hands and starts sniffing around.

 

"No idea, but maybe the bugger will find something out here you can grab a small supply of."

 

"Probably. Speaking of which, we might want to avoid going directly over the Lost Kingdom. He made it clear that he wants time to think, and it is hard to do that when some fresh stray thoughts are nearby."

 

"Fair point.

...Hey, that's a serious storm."
You're getting somewhat close. The clouds are a bit thicker, and the sound of the storm is starting to be audible.

 

"Well, at least we are in the right place."
I start to head more towards the area of the storm than the Lost Kingdom.

 

As you two approach, you see the four-winged beast again. Kai swims underneath you, and you feel the humidity from the wall of wind and water that lies ahead.

 

I head towards the four-winged beast.

 

A rider is sitting on its back. They stand up and hold onto its neck.
"I've seen you before. Talking with my sister, started coming here then turned around. You seem to have a friend this time," she shouts. Her voice is very audible, as if it ignored the winds.

 

"I would have come to you before, but I was visiting the Lost Kingdom at the time. My name is Eras, the God of Darkness and I watch over the Darklands. This is Xephyr, who is a draconian, which you may or may not have heard about recently."

 

"A god... F-forgive me. We've only heard of you and the Darklands recently, Aria seemed happy about it. My name is Rina, and this is Claire. I suppose it's predictable, but I'm another Daughter of Storms. Xephyr... We've never seen your kind before. It's nice to meet you as well."

"Thank you, you too. I, uh... i-it's a long story."
"That's fine. We can meet later.

...
Well, what brings you here?"

 

"We encountered another draconian a while ago, called Nyre. He has been stirring up lots of trouble in the kingdom of Brisingr recently. He said something about 'saving the girl you just met' and I assume that was Aria. When did you last hear from her?"

 

"Yesterday...

...is she okay?" Her face turns pale.

 

"I'm not sure myself... Nyre disappeared soon after that."
