"I mean, realistically, you never know what's going to happen. We're not facing an army of human followers, we're facing almost an entire hive mind, and then some. Always good to know that a person can take care of themselves."

 

"I've fought worse in my time. Ever been up against a mass army of billions of creatures of your opposing element, who can very easily kill you, lead by two gods?" Shadow Stephanie says, "Those were the days...Aj and I just beating the crap out of light creatures..."

 

"I have not. I'm saying it's more reinforcing for the state of my mind than it is for yours. I haven't fought many large-scale battles, I didn't know what it's like to be in the moment of that, before I joined in on this adventure. Before this, the most fight-like thing I participated in was when a druken man was jeering at me and pushed me once. It's good to know that the people by your side know how to handle certain situations, especially in areas where they are weaker than normal."

 

"Yeah, well, I can say for certain Stephanie and I, if working together under certain conditions, can become an unstoppable force," Shadow Stephanie says, "I hope this god of destruction is hostile so we can show you."

Shadow Stephanie grabs the purple phial out of Stephanie's hands, "Drink up!" Shadow Stephanie says, holding the phial up and tossing it back.

"I-I'm not sure if I want to waste it like that, though. What if I drink it and he's not hostile?" Stephanie says.

 

"What happens if you drink it?"

 

"Uhm...it just helps me focus and cast my spells." Stephanie says.

"Man, now I really want to fight someone so Stephanie can use her potion and show you." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Okay, what happens to Shadow Stephanie, then?"
I ask Stephanie, before turning to Shadow Stephanie.
"Because you seem too excited about it."

 

"I just empower her, and we work as a sort of superior being; a mix of both our powers to become something near unstoppable." Shadow Stephanie says with a wide smile.

 

"Oh, I've been dead long enough to get a baby name? What's next, you'll try and find me a wife? Rrgh..."


"I'm not here to be your friend, but I'll keep that in mind."

"Hiding."

 

"From Abigail?"
I guess.

"It sounds near unstoppable, certainly."

 

"I just thought Rin-Rin would be a cute name for you. I won't call you that if you don't want me to."


Abigail walks up to Ruby, before suddenly hugging her, "No. I want you to be my friend," Abigail says assertively, "You're my friend now. All that stuff is in the past."

"For a limited time, yes. But the potion is incredibly hard to make, and I only have three left. I try to use them sparingly." Stephanie says, smiling slightly.

 

"Yep."

 

"That's probably a good idea to save them, then."

 

"I'd rather you not."

"I'm here to free my beloved and go back to The Void. I never came to make friends."
Ruby still hugs back.

 

"Yeah, but if this god of destruction does turn out to be hostile...I guess I'll need to show him what I'm capable of." Stephanie says, smiling at Shadow Stephanie.

"Wait, you're like...married to Xlentia or something? Either way, you should at least make friends with Aj. He managed to knock Xlentia out by talking to her." Abigail says, still hugging Ruby.

 

"And that sounds like an even better idea."
I say, smiling.

 

Shadow Stephanie looks over to where the god of destruction is coming, "Let's beat the crap out of some god!" She says with malice, cracking her knuckles.

 

"I know what went down. He convinced her to fight against her corruption. She failed and mortally wounded herself in doing so, but it made Aj look good. But no, I'm not married to another female. I was her first follower."

"Let's see what he wants first." Ihra grumbles.

 

"Yeah, I think we might need to check if he's hostile first."

"Maybe Aj could empower her or something and strengthen Xlentia, so she can fight the corruption with greater force." Abigail says.


"If he dares lay a finger on you, he won't even be recognisable by his family when I send his crushed up corpse in a letter to them." Shadow Stephanie says, her eyes glowing; the area darkening around her.
