"I guess we let Anna do whatever she wants."
"Why did you suppress my magic anyway?"
I don't reply.
Anna sighs.

"Very well. I don't want anyone of my race harmed at all. Preferably, I would want them captured, but otherwise, just letting them live."

 

Ihra sighs.
"I'm sorry." She writes.

 

"Did she not take it well?"

 

"So, we can't trust her but we let her do whatever she wants?!"

"Your race? Please, you're a simple robot meant to kill."

"She's coming to see you."

 

"Well, I guess I can't really interact with her. It'll be nice to have her near, though."

 

"Hey, do you have any ability to talk to Shadow Stephanie? Sgavrinn followed her in the portal."

Sgavrinn nuzzles Artemis from behind.
"Artemis?" He replies sadly, but curious.

 

"No, we can trust her. It's just I didn't want her to escape."
She smiles. "Or can you really trust me?"

"Robot? I guess I sort of liked parts of me being metal. But that was only my arms... and the jetpack. The eyepiece isn't really built into me."
To prove his point, he takes off the eyepiece. His eye is completely normal.
Putting the eyepiece back on, he says, "Oh, and I have a few circuits as a sort of failsafe. Other than that, I'm a living being."

 

"I'll try my best to, but I don't see why Sgavrinn being there is a bad thing. I'm sure he'll comfort Artemis."


"Sg-Sgavrinn?" Artemis asks, turning around, tears still running down her face.

"Oh, looks like Sgavrinn followed you here. Anyway, Aj's just through here." Shadow Stephanie says, leading Artemis through a pair of large doors.

 

"What's wrong with her escaping?"
"If Avis trusts you, I think I can too. She's prety shy..."

"Then I want to know why you are intent on killing so many. Mistress does not kill for fun."

Sgavrinn seats Artemis on his back and keeps up with Shadow Stephanie, looking around nervously at the guards and walls.

 

A large, crystal statue stands at the back of a well-guarded, large room. A comparatively small, black crystal is held between the statue's hands, and darkness flows through the statue toward the crystal. The statue itself seems oddly unguarded.

"He can't really do much as he is. It's going to take a while for the shadow crystal itself to heal, so you're welcome to stay as long as it takes." Shadow Stephanie says.

Artemis hugs onto Sgavrinn, crying.

Stephanie surfaces from Abigail's lava pool, shaking the lava off of her clothes.

 

Sgavrinn hums a calming melody, laying down and hugging Artemis with his wing.
He looks at Shadow Stephanie curiously, as well as the statue.

 

Artemis hugs Sgavrinn tighter.

The statue seems to be of a female shadow, her eyes closed and arms together, holding my shadow crystal. She appears to be well-armoured, and looks to be a powerful figure of sorts.

Shadow Stephanie smiles at Sgavrinn.

 

Anna says, "Well?"
I sigh. "There's several reasons, but one of the main ones is that there is something I don't want her to find because she won't want to find it once she realises what it is. I also want her to help this group, not only because of this, but also because she needs our help just as much as we might need hers."
"You could have asked. But what do I need your help with?"
"You know why."
Anna seems to understand something about these words. She looks slightly worried.

"Intent on killing so many? I only want to kill three or four."

 

"A draconian? And who might you be?" I ask, immediately whipping out my notebook and jotting down:
Draconians are able to fly, and can have two sets of wings. There also appears to be a type of draconian that is pure white.
I start drawing a light sketch of the draconian in front of me.
"Oh, don't mind this, by the way. I am just working on making an informative book about your race for my kingdom." I comment.

"Hey. Any luck in talking to Abigail?"
I ask Stephanie.

 

"So were you able to find my stuff? Or at the very least tell her to give back my stuff?" Echoes a flower.

 

"Yeah, she's fine." Stephanie says, smiling.

"She told me to tell you "She doesn't have your damn stuff, get your head out of your ass because she left them back in your dumb storage."" Stephanie relays.

 

"Any reason she didn't want to talk to Rob herself, other than bad memories?"
Pause.
"Or did you not ask her?"

 

"She said "Talking to Drake is like talking to an asshole behind a brick wall who likes taunting you and you can't physically reach."" Stephanie says.

 

"Well then."
