Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The waiting room only has one other person, but they're bleeding at the neck.

After about a minute, they're tended to, and someone at the front desk signals you over.
"Sir? Mind telling me what's wrong?"

 

Myria suddenly opens her eyes, her hands glowing, "Ihra, may I read your mind? I've been having trouble trying to locate the spirit of this 'Rineth' you care for." She asks, getting up.

Artemis seems quite surprised, "Mother, maybe I could help?" She asks.

"You may help, but only in assisting my power. I don't want you to get hurt, Artemis." Myria says.

 

I walk up to them. "Hello," I say. "I'd like to see a doctor alone. I have some questions for them and them only."

 

"Sure, but actually... I think Artemis might remember where she buried his body. Let her do a little more."

"Um... Sure. Let me see if one's available. What kind of wound needs to be healed?"

 

"Possibly poison, and definitely a stab wound. A...friend of mine needs the treatment, but they're to hurt to come in the city. They're stuck in the outskirts. They're safe, but they can't come into the city. Are there any doctors willing to come out and treat them?" I say hopefully.

 

"Yeh, he'll probably run off scared! In fact, I'm pretty sure he's not showing his face cause he's scared of me!" I reply, a grin spreading accross my face.
OOC: Well, if it does get accepted, we all know who's going to die first :P

 

"Poison? Hmm... We can dispatch someone, but I'm not sure how much they can help. Can you afford it, though? We're a bit short-staffed as it is."

 

I turn out my pockets for all the coins I earned. I also pull out anything that was left in my pockets before I left my village, and put that on the table as well.

I walk up to Stephanie, but still keep my distance.
"Are you sure you're fine?"
I ask, caring.

 

"That's enough. I'll get a military medic; if they can't help your friend without bringing them here, you'd be better off to try somewhere else."

She takes most of the money and heads down the hall, leaving you with a number of coins you can count on one hand.

Your most trusted messenger kneels to you and holds out an envelope. He stays silent in respect... or is it fear? It never mattered to you.

 

"An envelope? Lovely! Dictate it to me." I say, "Make your voice loud and clear. Make your diction prescise. Control your voice, and speak only what is written on the envelope."

Pause.
"You are to begin at will."

 

He opens it nervously, then clears his throat.

"Destroyer,
There is something you may want to see in person. A few things, rather. The first involves a Sir Robert you bestowed one of your fine weapons to; he has stepped down from his position as the head of Greenhill Stronghold.
The second involves your airship fleet; a few of them have gone missing for unknown reasons.
The third involves something that's rather far from us and largely away from your current concerns; a new race of sorts has appeared in this world and their motives aren't known.

"That reminds me... I had this game before where you could place these statues down and then become one of them. Some pieces were always missing though... and you basically used other statues to summon monsters, which you then fight in reality. But if you die, you just come out of the statue."

"In case she would have tried to escape. I'm not sure what sort of magic they have, but Eras told me to throw the sleep charm through a telepathic link because there was no other way we could have stopped her from escaping. I'm still not entirely sure myself why she's so important.

 

"So, we're trying not to have her bring ruin to this world, is what I'm hearing? And you're trying to do this how again?"

 

"Very good." I comment, lighting the letter on fire.

"Messenger, proceed at once to the Airship docks. I want a full report of the last activities of these missing airships. Get the Head of the guard to strengthen the the outposts at the borders of my kingdom. This new race might prove deadly. Finally, fetch me two of your most trusted messengers. Dismissed."

 

"I'm don't think she's evil, or she could have tried to attack us when she woke up the first time. Instead, she went away to look at her surroundings."
