Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Probably me, Artemis, Abigail, Shadow Stephanie and Katie; since we all scared you when we first met you." I say offhandedly.

"And yet it feels like we've known you forever." Abigail says, smiling.

Stephanie's still asleep. She looks peaceful, innocent; like nothing could ever harm her. Stephanie sighs in her sleep, moving closer to you.

 

"Yes, I can walk. That's the one thing these bracelets allow me to do."
She glares at Daras again.

"What sort of games?"

I follow the forest guardian.

 

"Ah, you know, video games. I don't really stick to one genre; sort of limits what you can play." Shadow Stephanie says, relaxing.


The forest guardian leads you to a large, open flower. Other flowers around it are closed.

"Please, sit down and meditate." The forest guardian says, smiling.

 

"But only Aj's tried to kill me, so it wouldn't be all of you."

"Come on, let's introduce you to the others."

 

"Aw sweet, I can fight myself!" I say happily, "Artemis, make Ihra fall asleep, I wanna fight myself!"

"I'm not sure that's a good idea." Artemis says.

"If you were fighting yourself, wouldn't you know everything you were going to do, so would essentially be an equal opponent to yourself?" Abigail asks.

"Except we'd each be under slightly different circumstances with different knowledge, so wouldn't be exactly the same." I say.

 

I dodge the rag, and check the front doors.

 

Seeing that she's perfectly fine now, I slowly let go of her, and stand up.

 

Stephanie groans slightly as she leaves your grasp, turning over.

I nod to you respectfully.

 

I let out a slight grin to you, then look back at Stephanie to see if she's still distressed.

 

Stephanie just lies there, unconscious and unmoving. She breathes slowly and heavily.

I give you a slightly confused look.

 

I shuffle the slightest bit closer to Stephanie, and then simply smile at you.

 

Stephanie mumbles in her sleep slightly. I disappear; yet you begin to feel an ominous presence around you. Everything looks like it gets a shade darker.

 

I lift up my hand, questioning something.
Hey?
I think.

 

She walks towards the group with Reed.
Daras follows behind her, but keeps his distance.

"I haven't seen a video game before. Can you show me one of yours?"

I sit in the middle of the flower and close my eyes.

 

No response, yet you feel as if you've already been responded to; you almost remember hearing the words 'Yes?', even though they were never spoken.

"Sure." Stephanie says, exiting her current game. She walks up to a large rack of cases, and takes out a disc; placing it into one of her many consoles.

The screen loads up a new game, and the words 'Super Dragon RPG' appear. "This is quite popular back on Earth. Abigail certainly likes it." Shadow Stephanie says.


You feel the flower close in around you, and a strange, cool liquid begins to fill the flower. You start to feel calmer and calmer.

 

Oh, this is creepy. AJ, what are you doing? If that even is you.
I think once more.

 

"Making sure nothing bad happens in another, more powerful, form." You remember.

 

Alright. Fine with me then. Would you like to sit down?
I offer, continuing to think.

 

"Literally sitting down is an impossibility in this form, however..." You remember.

You feel the presence shift slightly.

 

I meant me sitting down, and since you're in my mind...
Pause.
I actually have no idea how this works, so that's kind of jumping to conclusions.
