"True.
...Let's stop thinking about that for now."
He nuzzles Artemis.

"Just let me walk into Oblivion with the knives."

After said hour and a half, people come and go and the woman comes back with a bag of coin.
"Here's your wage. Thanks for your help, and I hope your friend will be okay."

 

"Yeah, we should let sleeping dogs lie." Artemis says, hugging Sgavrinn even tighter, but not too tight.

"We should head back to the group, they're most likely wondering where we are." Myria says. Her eyes open, and she gets up.

 

"I'll bring you both back there."
Sgavrinn lowers his wing to the ground and stands up.

 

Artemis and Myria climb onto Sgavrinn's back.

"Thank you, Sgavrinn." Myria says happily.

 

"Glad to be able to help!"
He takes off and heads back to the spring.

 

Artemis laughs, clearly enjoying herself.

As Sgavrinn flies toward the spring, I wave at the trio, smiling. Katie seems to have entered the spring, and relaxes in it.

 

"Hi Myria!" Ihra waves as Sgavrinn lands.

 

"Hello, Ihra, I trust your trip with Aj was a safe one?" Myria asks, smiling.

Artemis gets off Sgavrinn and walks over to me. I smile at Artemis, and she smiles back.

 

"Mostly. Nobody died, if that's what you're asking."

 

"Thank you, it truly helps a lot." I say. I exit into the streets. "Know where I can find a doctor? One that can treat illnesses, wounds, and poison. It would also be nice if they knew a bit of healing magic." I say to a bearded man on the streets, showing him a coin.

 

"Ah, keep it. The map'll be more helpful than I." He mutters in a drunk tone.

 

"Hey Artemis."
I say to her, still on the ground.

 

"What's to say you won't suddenly turn on us and either massacre us or run off and assassinate Mistress? This seems a little bit too easy."

 

"She's gone. I'm not going to betray her, ever."

 

"Alright."

 

Pyk snatches the daggers out of the air and runs off.

"I wouldn't recommend ticking off her puppets. She might not be able to fight, but her puppets are as good as any draconian."

 

"I've done that before when she thought I threatened her by asking if she knew how to fight."

 

"Pyk is the only puppet not made for combat. The others? Mistress herself spars with them."

 

"Impressive." I comment.

 

"And that's why you don't want to make her too angry. She's always hiding, too. For a preserver, she's awful scared."
