Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"It's ok, I guess... accidents like this do happen sometimes... you get angry and you destroy something you later realise you shouldn't have."

 

"Thank you for understanding... Though, pardon me if this is too much to ask, what is your name? I've never made contact with the rest of the world as one of my sisters has."

 

"One of your sisters made contact with someone? Never heard of that... Anyway, I'm Eras, the God of Darkness. I watch over this kingdom, which is the Darklands."

 

"Usually to defend against the Lost Kingdom... We have no soldiers, no weapons. If me or any of my sisters were to fall, I don't... I... Don't think my home would exist." She tears up near the end, voice fading off.

 

"At least the Lost Kingdom have fallen now."
While I say this to reassure her, and it sounds like it as I say this slowly, though not quite calmly, I am really wondering whether I did the right thing.

 

I know gavel isn't wynn...

 

This isn't Gavel, Dern or Fruma. No, not even Corkus.

 

"True."
She takes a moment to compose herself.
"Forgive me... Just a sensitive topic."
She looks towards the coast.
"Could I perhaps explore your lands? I enjoy my place at the sea, but I... I want to know more about the rest of the world."

 

"Yes, you can explore the Darklands. Reflet, the Goddess of Fire, may allow you into her kingdom. Emeraldonia might too. Gargantuan... if you want to explore that kingdom, then make sure you are prepared for any threats. They just had a war which ended around the time that the Lost Kingdom fell to my kingdom and they and Reflet have hated each other ever since. I kept trading with them, but recently they did try to kill some people under my protection, and that built up tension between our kingdoms slightly. Oh yes, those people. There are ten of a mysterious people known as the draconians who have recently appeared in our world. Half of them are under my protection, the others are trying to kill them and are causing lots of trouble, especially for Reflet. At least, half of them until one changed sides... at least we hope but they probably did. If you see something half-human half-dragon, be aware that they are either very friendly or very unfriendly."

OOC: I finished the map, and added some interesting lore on the Lost Kingdom.

 

"Understood... I'll do my best to keep near the coast, then. Thank you for the warning, but I carry no weapons... My only means of defense is Kai."
She kneels down to scratch it.
"My sisters would have an easier time, but they always go places. Maybe I'll start by wandering around your kingdom. Everything sounds more interesting than open waters..."

 

"Oh, ok. Oh yes, and my kingdom does contain a large amount of monsters in the swamp to the east and there are a few in the forest to the west. Have fun exploring the kingdoms."
On thinking about the Lost Kingdom, I realise that I haven't visited it for a while.
"If I go now... something could happen if I don't watch the draconians. But... I have to go."
I fly into the air and head south, to the Lost Kingdom.

 

"Thanks again for the information!"
Kai rides up to the coast as you ascend.

The further south you go, the closer and larger a storm appears.
...
A four-winged beast and rider watch you from a distance near the edge of the storm.

The Lost Kingdom is half as far as the storm.

 

I think about going to the storm, but I decide against it and carry on towards the Lost Kingdom. I head towards the small remains of the port.

 

It's as desolate and quiet as it was left, albeit in even more of a state of ruin over time.

 

I start heading to the capital... but then I notice something to my right. Is that smoke coming from the chimney of a house? I investigate the house, which shouldn't be smoking as nobody goes near the island.

OOC: This place is ??? btw. Do you want me to take it from here or do you want me to pm you about the place and the person inside (I mean, the house is smoking, and it isn't like it's burning, it's just chimney smoke) and then you control that character?

 

OOC: Up to you. I will if you want.

 

OOC: Ok, I'll do it. Prepare for the character I've been wanting to get into the rp this whole day...

I go into the house. And gasp. Right in front of me is a fully grown man. Fully grown, except for the fact that he is half the size, just his body looks fully grown. And when I mean man, I mean man with dark wings, a bit like Eras.
He says, "Eras! It's about time we met again. How have you been these past... centuries? Millennia? I can't tell."
My face turns pale. I immediately teleport away from the place. I want to get anywhere the man isn't. I immediately think of the place Yhrey was at and re-appear there.
All this time, I'm cursing.

 

I see Eras appear, cursing.
"We got the dragon awake. Are you okay?"

 

I turn to you, concerned.
"Is everything okay? Did you find Nyre or something?"

 

A voice from behind me says, "No, he found me!"
A man who looks just like me, but half my size and wearing what seem to be worn but very rich robes. (OOC: Basically, the guy I found in the Lost Kingdom)
"Urgh... I forgot about your teleporting abilities."
"I would just submit to you and let you kill me, but I heard that you'd changed a lot. Speaking of which, I also heard about the outsiders."
"Don't get involved in this. Go back to wherever you were hiding all these years."
"Scared for me? Or do you just want to stop me from doing anything... rash? Intervening?"
