"I found the extra thirteen blades, so we got them all. Do you mind if I have the other three you got?"

 

"Not at all. Not sure how you're going to carry them all, but here."

Ruby levitates over.
"I can help with that."
"Well crap. Please have a better idea."
Ruby smirks.

 

"Just don't break them, and it should be fine. Unless you know how to create some, I don't think we get any more."
I carefully fly up and hand Ruby four of the blades.

 

She just takes them all, levitating them around her.
"We can study one or two to figure out how to make them. I'm useless for precision, though. It'd be better to find a mechanic. Maybe that Abigail; she already modified some of her equipment."

 

"Maybe. We're still thinking about a mechanic to help Iruk. I was thinking AJ, he seems to know a lot. Maybe it'll be someone else. We just kinda have to wait until they get back."
Pause.
"Speaking of which, they'll probably come back the way they left, so let's go back there. Iruk can fly now, so it'll be faster."
I start drifting in that direction, waiting for the two to join me.

 

Ruby follows and Iruk glides behind you.

 

I start fly faster in the direction I was going.

 

"I'd rather not say..." I reply.

 

They keep up.
"Well, seems the rest of your group isn't here."
"They're sure taking their sweet time..."
"Ruby, relax. You told them to take a break anyways."

"It's that bad?"

 

"I trust that they're doing something important. Not just going out, and picking every perfectly ripe apple on all the trees."
Pause.
"If there even is trees where they are."

 

"Well, I hope them being absent doesn't impede what you were intending to do."
"Actually, it pretty much only does that."
"Oh..."
"Ruby, don't talk like that behind their backs!"

 

"Well, it does impede what we were going to do with Iruk, but we need Ihra to proceed anyways, don't we?"
I ask Ruby.

 

"That's the whole problem!"
"Ihra? That's a name I hear a lot on the kill list. Why is she wanted so badly anyways?"
"Tsch, you don't know? Ha! No way I'm telling you."
Ragnyon just sinks lower into the spring.

 

"Which is also why I'm confident that AJ will bring her back safely. Iruk, you might need to settle into the group a bit more before you learn Ihra's importance."

 

"Alright, noted. Sorry."

Xlentia walks away, her feet visible from the entrance as she leaves.

For such a large creature, she walks silently.

 

I get up, and then walk over to a dummy.

 

"You must be something special if she had something for you and you alone."

 

"It's either because I found the knife, or that I managed to dent it, or simply because I volunteered to serve her." I slash at the dummy, thrust my sword into it, then bring it up.
