Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I shoot the blade out of the sky using the bolt, hoping it goes through the blade, also.
I raise my shield to slow the impact if the bolt doesn't hit anyways.
"I mean, it seems that you were intent to kill me anyways. So what's the point of keeping that secret?"

 

He hits the barrier, grunts, then just loads another arrow in his bow.

He walks towards your blade, kicking it close to the healer.

...there doesn't seem to be an ability to steal.

The bolt deflects the blade and flies to the ground.

"You're not a magic user, correct?" I ask as I steal an ability from the healer. I start to back up, though it's clear me having only one foot is making it harder.

The healer blocks your attempt.
"You are in a one on one duel. Please refrain from involving outsiders."
"What'd he do?"
"Nothing major. Continue."

 

"Hard life, huh. Oh well. Fate's a douche, Karma's a bitch, and Time's an ass."
I put back my crossbow, and take out my sword, still flying, but now heading towards the ground.

 

"Smart." I comment on the healer, before performing a tap-out.

 

He follows.
"Hurry up. 6"

They cast a spell, and all wounds and damage to armor or weapons are reversed.
"Are you doing another round?"
"Good fight; haven't seen a half-decent human in a while."

 

I land on the ground, and back up as to not be under him.
I also get ready to dodge or deflect any projectiles.

 

"I'm sorry about the guards. I don't understand why they were wanting to kill you." Shadow Stephanie says, walking back to the elevator whilst carrying Ihra. She turns some of the dials before turning the centre dial. Everything goes black, and the pair end up in the medical ward.

"Stephanie's awake, she seems to have recovered." Shadow Stephanie says, carrying Ihra through the ward.

 

"Yes, another round, but I need to rest first." I reply to the healer, sitting down and drinking some water.
"Thanks, though in a sense I'm not all human. My other body is a dragon, which happens to be just a flower under Revert. Though my first body is a human." I reply to the guard.

 

"Well, I may as well. A friend of mine can last a few days." I say. I take my post at the bar, checking to see the prices and options available, while waiting for someone to order.

 

He prepares his blades for a grounded duel.

"They think I killed one of them in the middle of the night. I tried to tell them it wasn't me because I was asleep, but they insisted..."

Ihra pauses.
"Hi Stephanie. Are you feeling... uh... alive?"

"Strange. Still, not bad. I'm going to go check in with Mistress, see if my regiment got any new orders. I'll be back in a minute or so."

The healer stays.
"I'm surprised he didn't go berserk when you tried to pull one of your dirty tricks."

After a while, the man returns and hands you a small bag of coin.
"Thanks, sir! Hey, if you still need more work, try somewhere else here. If you don't mind laundry, it's not worth as much as this, but it's easy if you're weary."

 

I wait for his move.

 

"I don't see it as a dirty trick. I see it as a legitimate ability. There wasn't a rule about using magic." I reply, drinking more water and attempting to steal an ability from a random draconian.

 

He runs at you, hesitating.

"Few see the way you do."

There seems to be nothing to steal.

 

I charge at him, sword ready.

 

"That's what makes me...unique." I reply, emphasis on the last word. I attempt to steal an ability from a random draconian.

 

"Are you willing to help me or not?"
He throws one blade to give him time to run to your right.

"Of course I am."
I say, dodging and blasting a bit off to my left.
"But I'd like to continue helping Ihra."

 

He throws another blade at you.

"I'm trusting you more than I should, but guilt's got the better of me. Remember; Iruk'ne. I-r-u-k-n-e."

The last four blades on his wings eject, and when he drops the two he's holding, he collapses.
