Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

OOC: Oh this is going to be interesting then...
"Well, I can't say I'm good at going through the ground, but I can navigate tunnels easily... I have to because..."
I trail off at the end.
"Or I could bring some monsters to counter Nyre. I mean, if he has covered a lot of Brisingr by now, he could have found the gemstones and could be guarding them. That could be one reason why he put Yhrey to sleep. But then again, he did summon his own versions of my monsters last time I saw him. So if he can do that... then I could distract him with... something else while you get the crystal."

 

Hmm.. I continue reading.
OOC: This alone-by-myself storyline is getting boring.

 

"Just don't give him too much. Everything he copies sticks for a long time."

OOC: You're not giving me much to work with.

The dragon spits on the book, freezing most of it with your hand attached. It tries to climb onto it, making small groans while doing so.

The walls start to shake a bit.

 

I jump up, creating a heat spell to get my hand out, and run to see what is outside with the walls. Thinking: Or it could be the dragon...

 

A tremor follows, but it's short lived. A few things fall off their places on walls or shelves, and the dragon is thrown to the ground, crying out at the surprise.

It doesn't take long for another two tremors to occur, each ending as suddenly as the first.

 

"I have a few plans... I've only used two and one will be a bit of a problem. Wait actually three. But one of them is very weak and the other I can stop very easily..."
I fly into the air again and start heading further into Brisingr and towards Devil's Horns (OOC: I think that was the name of the place).

 

OOC: I have this thread watched but I am not getting alerts...

I will jump back in eventually. Sorry for inactivity.

 

No to signs of Nyre.
Yes to Xephyr looking winded and panicked.
"Eras, sir? Forgive me, but I went to see the Darklands for myself... Something rose out of the sea. So much screaming..."
She's out of energy and her wings give out.

 

I finally decide to run upwards to the well. "I did feel something there before..."

 

"What rose out of the sea?"

 

You hear clashing metal from outside along with shouts accompanying strikes.
It's... loud, to say the least.

Because falling is a wonderful time to tell you.

She lands hard, but she seems okay.
"Some monster, it spoke of a lost kingdom." She shouts at you from below.

 

Quickening my pace, I teleport to the entrance.

 

OOC: That's the quote from the last time I did something. Feel free to tell me what the thing is or whatnot

 

You see two draconians. One is in a white robe, the other a grey. The one in a white robe wields a hammer and the other has a halberd and a lance.

Sparks are flying off the halberd and lance, and the draconian with the hammer is slamming it into the ground, earthen spikes emerging in the direction they face.

Both stop once they notice you.

Sparky runs off, and you take a closer look at whatever's broken.

It must've been something belonging to Xephyr. It seems to be a shield projector without an energy source.

 

I poke the thing with the mechanical rod (you know, the one I made that my character forgets what it does)

 

OOC: I also don't know what it does. Tell me in a pm or something.

A blue film flickers over the rod and your hand before it goes completely unresponsive.

 

OOC: Oh I see... oh well
I go down to Xephyr
"Hmm... where was the monster?"

 

OOC: Don't worry, I know what it does. My character does not.

My hand goes numb and I drop the rod. The connection from the object to me is now broken, but my hand is still numb...

 

"Near a town, in the ocean... The townsfolk were scared, more of it than me... I tried to help, but nothing I did seemed to have much effect..."

Not sure how I'm supposed to respond to this.

Sparky runs back to you, looking worried.

 

"What is it sparky? What is it buddy? Why do you look so worried?"

I slowly regain feeling in my hand and snatch my rod back up.
