Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Wh... but you're the queen! You're one of the most powerful shadows! Can't you prevent that from happening?!"

 

"We can only do so much. I could prolong her life, sure, but if she stands any chance at recovery, she needs to be under the care of those dedicated to healing. Darkness blinds you from your problems, it doesn't cure them." Shadow Stephanie says solemnly.

 

"Let me help. I helped Artemis before, and I've helped Katie before. We helped Ruby. We can keep her alive."

 

Shadow Stephanie sighs, "Very well," She says, getting up, "Follow me."

Shadow Stephanie heads toward the exit of the dining hall.

 

"Can Artemis come too?"
Ihra obeys, wiping tears.

 

"I guess extra help is always needed." Shadow Stephanie says.

Artemis finishes her apple juice and runs over.

Shadow Stephanie and Artemis exit the dining hall, heading into the strange elevator a short distance away.

 

Ihra follows.
"What did we do last time? Nature elixir and vines? They're giving her transfusions, but I can pull all the poison out easily."

 

"They've already purged most of the poison, she just needs blood. She had about a fifth left." Shadow Stephanie says, turning the crystal dials.

Once again, everything goes black, and the trio find themselves in the medical ward.

Shadow Stephanie heads through a pair of doors leading into surgery rooms. She walks past a few before heading into one. Artemis follows.

 

"Thank you." I go over to where he said I should go.

"I think she's still asleep."

 

Q wanders over to where you, Ruby and Ragnyon are.

"Who's still asleep?"

 

"Xlentia."

 

"Who's that?"

 

"One of the deities of the draconian homeworld."

 

"Oh. Does she tend to sleep a lot?"

 

"Again, I'm sorry..."
Ihra keeps following.

There are a set of training dummies that are set to phase in and out of their physical forms. Some are made of a tougher material than others.

"Oh... Okay."

"Only if she's trying to recover."

 

I 'shrug'

I draw my sword and go to one of the tougher training dummies. I take a deep breath and slash at it, full force and all.

 

It phases, and you miss.
They seem to be on a timer.

 

I wait to see the intervals in between the phasing.
OOC: How long it takes for them to phase

 

Up for three seconds, down for twelve.

 

I wait for it to go down, and count the seconds. When it hits 11 seconds, I thrust my sword into it.
