Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Time to make mother proud, you idiot."
Bolts of various types of magic form behind Ihra, her tomes spinning rapidly enough to appear a white circle.
"Die." She mumbles, launching every bolt at every angle around the beast.

 

Blood spurts out from the beast in various places, and it screeches in immense pain. Tentacles rush toward Ihra, and the beast tries stomping her. The beast seems extremely weakened at this point.

 

The tentacles are stopped by the barriers, as is its effort to stop.
Ihra takes the opportunity to blast it with a gust of wind, knocking it on its side.

 

The beast tries its best to get up, before Shadow Katana pierces its neck. It cuts around the neck, decapitating the beast, blood gushing out everywhere.

I walk out of the blood, completely soaked in it, holding Stephanie. She seems badly wounded; the beasts blood making it hard to tell which is hers and which is not, but she's covered in deep wounds. Her dress, or what's left of it, is almost completely destroyed. Not only that, but her legs seem to be bent in a way legs shouldn't be bent.

"We need to head back to the palace." I say in a serious tone.

 

Ihra steps next to you.
"Recall in... Now."
...you find yourself near the elevator you used to get to the catapults.

 

I grow an extra pair of arms to turn the crystal dials on the elevator whilst holding Stephanie. After turning a few, I turn the centre dial to the right and everything goes black.

Ihra and I find ourselves in what looks like a medical ward. I immediately walk forward into the ward. Strangely, unlike other areas of the palace, the workers in the ward seem to look human. Some even look like Forest Guardians.

A few of the nurses immediately rush toward me, taking Stephanie off my hands.

"What happened to her? She looks terrible!" A nurse asks.

"We were hunting and she got eaten. Nasty beast really did a number on her." I say.

"Are you alright, my king? You don't seem to look too good either." Another nurse asks.

"Ah, I'll be fine. Just a few scratches here and there." I say.

The nurses take Stephanie away, into another part of the ward. I walk back to Ihra, "Heh, I'm sure Shadow Stephanie won't be too happy with us when she finds out about this." I say, trying to smile.

 

"I don't wanna die." She squeaks.
She tries to mend your wounds a bit.

 

"Ah, she probably won't be so mad. Hopefully." I say, heading back towards the elevator.

"My clothing needs cleaning, as well as myself. Is there anything you want to pass the time while I'm away, or do you want a shower and a change of clothes too?" I ask, heading into the elevator.

 

"More honey?"
She smirks.

 

"Alright, do you want to head back to the dining hall? Or would you like somewhere else to stay?" I ask, "You can get honey wherever you want, not just the dining hall."

I begin prepping some of the crystal dials.

 

"I think I'd like to check on the others. Tell them that Stephanie is at least alive. Dining hall works."

 

"Alright." I say, turning the dials.

Everything goes black once more, and Ihra finds herself outside of the dining hall doors. I seem to be absent, however. A guard waits beside the door, and noticing Ihra, opens it for her.

 

"Thank you."
She looks for Artemis and Katie, looking a bit saddened.

 

Artemis sits at the same table from before, looking rather frustrated at a drunken Abigail. Katie's being fed what looks like lemon ice cream by a Shadow; she seems quite happy. Eras and Idala sit at the table too.

 

"Hey, guys? I have good news and bad news..."
She approaches Artemis, worried.

 

"Oh, hey Ihra! I was wondering where you'd gone. Last I saw of you was when you ran through here after you'd fainted." Artemis says, smiling at Ihra.

"Ihraaaaaaaaa!" Abigail says drunkenly, fire burning from her mouth.

 

"I... uh... Well..."
She looks saddened.
"Good news, I found Stephanie."

 

"You did? That's great! I was starting to get worried. Though, I think Aj mentioned she was here, didn't he?" Artemis asks happily.

"Where's ma steph gurl at?" Abigail asks drunkenly.

 

"That's the problem. She's here...

...under medical care bent in ways she shouldn't be."

 

"Whoa, the f*ck? Crazy broad been getting into deep sh*t?" Abigail says drunkenly.

Artemis seems incredibly shocked. The Shadow feeding Katie drops her spoon in surprise, and Katie seems equally shocked.

"Her majesty's form is badly hurt?" The large Shadow says, walking over to Ihra with a serious expression.
