Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Just leave me to tinker so I have a new item to use next time something happens

 

"Fair enough."
I very, very slowly start approaching a wall.
When I reach the wall, I very, very slowly touch my blade with it.
When my blade contacts the wall, I start pushing as hard as I can on the wall.
I make sure to stay out of the way of the sword, so it is not in between me and the wall.
I highly doubt this will work, but it's something.

(Same principle as last time.)

 

Maybe that you've used a ton of the well's power and you're starting to feel fatigued?

You start getting to work, assuming Xephyr fell asleep.
Sparky has, though you know he'll wake if he hears anything.

...
Nothing seems to interrupt your work from the outside. You're more tired than usual, though; you were woken earlier than usual this morning and it's starting to take its toll.

There are four pillars, not walls.
When you push your sword through the gap, you notice a hazy blue film. Your blade passes through easily, but your hand doesn't.

It's just as effortless pulling your blade back through.

 

I think, then slowly cut off the skin of my 'pinky' finger, all the way up the the nail.
I attempt putting that through the gap.

 

Won't pass through.

"I assume that means Ihra's called you a Mecha before."

 

"I think I'm just going to call you AK for 'All Knowing', because it sure does seem that way."

I try the same thing with the sword, except against the pillars.

 

I finish up what I was working on and finally get some shut-eye

(However due to my tiredness I do not exactly remember the function of what I was making. I am sure that will be interesting later...)

 

"I don't know how to explain how I know this much about you. Let's just say I... bent the rules."
The sword seems to bounce slightly like the walls before. It doesn't bounce back with mirrored force, but it's a little more than just a wall.

You end up falling asleep before you finish. Whatever it is, let's hope Xephyr doesn't get a laugh out of you crashing in the middle of... something.

Time delay acknowledged. Pull me back in whenever.

 

"But that's why rules exist, right? To be overthrown?"
I smile.
I walk over to one of the gaps, and right where my hand can't pass, I start digging a very small tunnel.
I check If my hand can go UNDER the barrier.

 

I need a bit of rest. I make my way to the bedroom, a place of ultimate comfiness. There I drop into my bed, quickly casting an alarm spell unto the chambers, and fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

 

You wake up at a more normal time, but Sparky's still asleep and Xephyr's gone.

"Not the rules of existence. Many exist to keep one idea of order or another... few succeed in achieving even that."

Your hand won't pass through.

The alarm wakes you as intended.

...and scares the lights out of the hatchling which had decided that your doorway was a suitable place to nap.

 

"I know of a few that failed to even successfully MAKE the rules."

I stand up against one of the gaps, then I charge to the gap across from me, shoulder first.

 

It feels like you're ramming yourself against the wall while ramming yourself against the wall.
Equal force from the other side hits you ad you hit the wall. It doesn't compound, but it hurts. A lot.

"And how did that go for them? I would presume 'not well,' but I've been wrong a couple times."

 

"Just that their entire work space got destroyed. And they're all dead."
I roll my shoulder, and think.


OOC: How tall are the pillars?

 

"Figures. There is no control if there is no boundary."
OOC: High enough that the tops of them aren't visible.

 

"However, with no boundary, there is room for change... Sometimes."
Pause.
"Speaking of boundaries.... What is this?"
I tap the gap.

 

I groan, getting out off bed to comfort it, and then changed the alarm to allow the dragon to go wherever he wishes withought triggering the alarm, unless he goes to the exit. Then I get back in bed, to get some more sleep.

 

I go outside to take a look around, noticing a long complex metal rod at the foot of the tend. Did I make that? Oh god,mi can't even remember what it does! (I do, my character does not)


OOC: does Sparky sleep? I mean, he's a machine

 

"It's a time warp. Really, it's just molecules slowed to the point where there's no give; you won't move through them, and they aren't moving for at least a century... Or however long you're here. Hopefully not a century."

You have problems staying warm. It'd rather crash at the foot of your bed than its room.
