Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Not as complicated as this," I say. I suddenly say something in a language you can't understand; the noises I make are quite unnerving.

"Oh, it's just kind of funny how Abigail said she wouldn't steal you, concerning the fact she tried to steal Aj." Artemis says, grinning.

"You know I wasn't in control." Abigail says, glaring at Artemis.

"Infusing your soul with weaponry is risky. On one hand, the weapon becomes stronger. On the other, if you become disarmed or break the weapon, you could be killed," Stephanie says, "Unless you retrieve your soul in time, or only infuse part of it."

 

I turn to Stephanie. "Ah no, I've had enough of splitting my soul apart. My other body is planning to infuse Leo's soul with the dagger he wants forged. It's sort of the least we- I mean I could do. After all, he's pretty much traumatized to the brink of death. Might as well either put him out of his misery or let him serve a new purpose than for chatting."

I remain silent for a while.

"Actually, I've wrapped my head around it, Aj. Both me and my other body are still Sir Robert by soul. I'm a flower by body, and my other body is my original body. Leo's still a crystal, though I'm planning to turn him into a dagger. Or at least my other body is. He's starting to want more weapons than he can even carry."

 

"I would suggest infusing his soul in the dagger, then." Stephanie says.

"If he's willing!" Artemis adds.

"So, you're both the same person, but acting differently due to different circumstances? Like if I cloned myself?" I ask.

 

I smile, just enough for the photo.
I also move a tiny bit closer to Stephanie.

 

Stephanie puts her arm around you just before the camera clicks. The hand drags it back through a portal and drops it in my hands.

"Looks nice." I say, observing the picture on the camera. I show it to you and the others.

 

"I'm not even sure how we'll get an answer out of him. He's just been murmuring things."

"Well, Uhm...I guess so. Well, not if you cloned yourself. Well, maybe...well, I'd think it'd be best to compare us as twins at this rate. Though if you'd like, you can call him an evil clone." I say to Aj.

"Wait till Shadow Stephanie hears of this." I say, gesturing to Thirteen and Stephanie in the photo.

 

"Yeah, it does."
I say, smiling.

"Or sees it. Either one can happen."

 

"...Tell him I'm sorry..." Artemis says, crestfallen.

"Which ones the real Rob!? I don't know who to shoot!" I say jokingly, pretending to freak out.

"I'm sure she wasn't actually looking for a relationship. She probably just wanted to kill him and eat him, or just mess with him." I say.

"Hey...Thirteen...there's sort of something I want to tell you..." Stephanie says nervously, smiling at you.

 

"Shooting neither of us would be a great idea."

"Whatever you say, Aj. But mark my words, if Shadow Stephanie and Stephanie ever get into a fight over Thirteen, I'm siding with Shadow Steohanie, for both obvious and obscure reasons."

 

I look at AJ with a look that says 'Well, shit.'
I then turn to Stephanie, face completely back to normal, and say,
"Yeah? What's that?"

 

I butt in by giving you a face that equally looks like it's saying 'Well shit'

 

"I doubt they'd fight over Thirteen; they're good friends, and Shadow Stephanie can afford to mess with people. She's quite famous in the Realm of Shadows." I say.

"Well...you see...we've known each other for a while and..." Stephanie seems to have trouble speaking, "Oh, jeez, what am I saying. Want I want to say is..."

Stephanie takes one of your hands, "I love you, Thirteen." She says, smiling at you.

"Awwwww." Artemis says, smiling at you and Stephanie.

"That's cute." Abigail says, smiling.

Myria sighs, "Ah, young love." She says happily, smiling at the two of you.

Somehow a feeling washes over the group that if I weren't a dragon, I would have a helmet on, along with a red cape, and I would have a pike in one hand, and a shield in the other.

"No offense, but you should have picked a more private spot so that I cannot criticize you about it." I say apathetically

"Of course, I'd still find a way to listen in..."

 

"I think its nice of Stephanie to confess her feelings here." Myria says.

"Yeah, Rob, stop being so stuck up," Abigail says, glaring at you, "Have you been having problems with ladies, and are envious of Thirteen having one confess her feelings to him?"

 

"On my end. Definitely... more on my end."
I say to Myria.

"Well, ehm... I guess it's my turn... to feel awkward now."
I say, turning to Stephanie.
"I... don't feel the same way. And can't. It's just about impossible to be on equal levels of you on this spectrum for me."
Pause.
"Sorry."

 

"No." I reply sternly. "I'm glad I don't have to get head over heels over someone or whatever. Me getting in a reletionship right now would be absoloutely catastrophic. It would release feelings of sympathy within me, and as a soldier, that will simply not do."

My face looks like I'm about to explode. I take a deep breath, and then let out a sigh, leading me to return to my normal state.

 

"Wh-What? What..what do you mean?" Stephanie says, shocked, starting to tear up.

"Wow, Thirteen, rude."

"He's saying he doesn't love you, and he dislikes you so much he can't ever love you." Abigail says, glaring at you.

"B-But...w-we..." Stephanie stutters, before running off, out of the spring, crying.

"Wait, Stephanie, it's not what you think!" I shout, running after Stephanie.

"Smooth." Abigail says sarcastically.

 

"My part was just about fine. I do like her, Abigail. I just don't love her. Don't spread rumors that aren't true."

 

It looks like I'm about to explode again. I take a deep breath and let out a sigh. I'm about to say something but then I realize something suspiciously odd. "Wait, how did I even get here in the spring?!"

 

"You do realise it took a lot of confidence for her to confess her feelings about you, right? You just shot her down, cold blooded." Abigail says.

Artemis seems displeased with you.

"You walked in. Quite simple." Abigail says.
