"Oooh, me!"

But instead of going over to you, he widens his mouth as if you were to throw it in. And before you know it, his mouth seems wider than his head was just a moment ago.

 

"Q, right, kid?"
I say, guessing his name from what I heard, and also throwing an apple in his mouth.
"I recommend not eating that whole. You may be magic, but I'm not sure about your digestive system."

 

"Eh, I'll be fine," He says as he swallows the apple whole.

He burps loudly.
"Could I have another? As in, all of them? Luphyx is constantly forgetting that I have to eat."

 

"A relation to Luphyx, huh? Neat guy. But, no, not yet. I did bring a lot of apples, but I want to make sure people who want them get some."
Pause.
"Okay, sure, Artemis can grow an apple tree in less than a second, but it's still more special if you pick them yourself."

 

"Yes, please." I say.

"Could I have one, Thirteen?" Stephanie asks, smiling at you.

"I'll take one." Abigail says.

Katie holds her hand up from the water in a thumbs up.

"YOU'RE WEAK. IF YOU SHALL NOT DO IT, YOU'RE UNFIT FOR THE TASK."

Some of the souls grab onto you; they look like they're trying to say something, yet they can't speak. You feel an odd sensation all over; it feels like you're slowly dying.

 

"Fine, fine. I'll kill off one of them." I (HH) say.

I walk over to Abigail.

 

"Hey Drake!" Abigail says, smiling at you, "How are you enjoying the spring?"

 

I remain silent. I attempt to steal an ability from Abigail.

 

"Drake?" Abigail asks, confused.

You gain her ability to summon fireballs.

"What did you just do?" Abigail asks, slightly concerned.

I try to melt the metal down, and meld the metal into my current sword in a thin outer layer.

The ground continues shaking, and a massive bone-white spine juts out of the ground. It makes fast circles all over the camp, wiping out every bandit in a few seconds. Once you're the only one left standing, the ground fractures more and a large mishappen dragon skull jerks out of the ground below the spike. Perched on the skull's ridge of it is a skeleton in battered dirt armor.

"Whooo goooessss there? Whooo can I not ssssee?" The voice is halfway between a hiss and a hollow creak.

 

"Okay? Nice hot spring... perfect for swimming in..."
Aura follows Sgavrinn.

"No, that's everything, thanks."
Arnold goes back to the fifth floor and goes to the Dark Script books again.

 

"Oh, nothing. Just removed some...bad omens."

 

I casually toss an apple to the people who said they wanted one.
Including Katie.

 

Ruby levitates from one pool to the other.
"It's not lava, but it's very nice."
"Oh boy... I hear screaming."
"Great. Just put a shield over the spring."

It's quiet. Maybe it was all in your head...?

Melting the sword to yours doesn't work.
"Refine... Replace... Never enhance..."

She grins.

"Ask if you can join if you'd like."

"So, how did you meet Idala, Aura?"

"You get... You'd get used to it... when it happens daily..."
When his wings melt, he just falls to the ground.

Idala says, "Can I join the hot spring?"

"Her father made a Wind Dragon statue as part of this... fighting set. He made it to train himself. Idala was very young when she was evacuated from the Lost Kingdom with her mother. The set was brought with her. When she was a few years older, she started using the set by 'activating' me and the other creations. That means the statue was turned into life-like forms of whatever the statue represented. And of course, after a while, Idala thought of me as more than something to train on, so she sometimes just summoned me just because she enjoyed being with me."

Daras says, "I'll bring Anna back to the group. If she suddenly wakes up on this wyvern, things might not be good."
"Good point. We don't want her to attempt to jump off or just accidentally roll off when she wakes up."
Daras flies ahead to the group.
I say, "Want me to wait here while you finish your transformation?"

Arnold picks up the journal (I write hournal every time I attempt to write journal... did it again on that one too...) and reads it.

 

"That's so nice! And now you've been made separate from that piece?"

"No," his voice echoes from above.
"Just help me get back to the group when I reform."

A semi-transparent dragon glides above you.

It's a school kid's journal. Apparently he was drafted by Daras to go to war, but tried desperatey to continue his studies.

 

"Ah hah! You're back! Ready yet?" Exclaims HH.
"Please excuse my other body. Feel free to forge whenever you feel like it."

 

Ruby just hovers over and punches HH before returning to her spot in the spring.

 

"It's a bit more than that. I am still the piece, but I'm now permanently summoned and can actually do damage to people who aren't training."

"So your form is a semi-transparent dragon? Or have you only half formed yet?"

"So the piece is there, but you're as permanent as it is?"

The child was studying to get a government job like his father; he looked to become a record keeper. He managed to bring the journal when he was drafted, and it shows he was sent after Aurilon.

The writing just ends after a page reads only the following;
"At least she's fair."
