The armor isn't too difficult to dodge, as it is fairly clunky, but when you punch it, it hurts you more than him. Your knuckles will probably bruise now.

Q swings his fist down onto your head, now that you're near the ground (Q is short)

 

I attempt to tackle him to the ground, effectively dodging the attack.

"Katie! Are you okay?!"

"I never thought anyone could faint from a picture..." DD murmers.

 

Assuming you're not extremely massive somehow...

You ram into Q. You're quite dazed, but once the world finally stops spinning...

You're able to maintain your balance again and you see:
Q has been knocked on his back and is trying (in vain) to stand back up wiggling his arms and legs like a tortoise stuck on its back, but all he's accomplishing is waving his arms wildly.

OOC: inb4 the bigger they are, the harder they fall

 

"You got some thick armor there." I say, drawing my sword.

 

"Was that some sort of insult? I can't tell with you."

He cranes his head to the side, looking at you. He then reaches underneath himself and whips a throwing knife directly at your sword hand.

 

"Seriously?" I sidestep out of the way. "Why don't you just surrender, and let me finish this?"

 

"Because I have a will to live? Is that so strange?"

Q melts into an orange liquid, armor and all, and then reforms his body where he had fallen, wearing his oversized lab coat again.

"You can't kill me, I can't kill you. It's a stalemate, so long as neither of us let the other purposely win. For that reason, I'd like to propose a joint draw, so we don't continue until we fall unconscious."

 

"What are the terms of this cease-fire?" It sounds like I'm the leader of a nation talking to another leader about negotiating a peace treaty

 

"I'll stop throwing things at you, and you stop trying to kill me. Oh, and I get the next prototype of that spear of yours as recompense for that time you stabbed me. Those are the terms."

 

"And, you stop trying to imprison me. That is my term that I shall add."

 

"Imprison you? Oh, you mean that. All I did was prevent you from interacting with almost all of reality. Of course, I didn't alter your ability to breathe air, because then you would've passed out. And asphyxiation is never fun."

 

"Prevent me from interacting with reality? Prison. Anyways, I believe we have a deal on our hands, do we not?"

 

"Ah, I see what you did there. 'On our hands'."

Q extends his (right) hand to you to shake on it.

 

"That's fancy. Are there other special trees?"

She looks at the jar, then the spoon, eats the spoon (and spits out the liquified metal), then dumps the contents on her tongue.
And she perks up.

"Yep."

"That's hard, but you have a point. Vesius wouldn't have fled here... Still, I... I can't forgive him."

"I'll be okay... Don't mind me."

His body is half melted.

Putting both back on the shelf, a nearby draconian gives you a funny look.
"Sir, might I ask why that's neccesary? One is enough, and has been enough for a while."
He says it in Dark Script, assuming it's Arnold's native language.

You wake up in the middle of the night, seemingly to nothing.

 

"Very well." I accept the hand with my right hand and shake it.
OOC: Sword was switched to left hand

 

OOC: Yeah, it's why Q extended his right.

Q looks over at the group.

"Guess I'd better meet everyone for real then."

He teleports (really, converts himself into sound waves directed at the group, then undoes the change) back to where the group is.

"Hey, all. I'm Q." He waves an oversized (and still slightly bloody) coat sleeve.

 

I strap all my bags and re-attach my cloak. right before he teleports, I hand him the remains of the spear.

I (HD) walk over to Ruby. "You think you're ready to forge?"

 

Ihra glances at you, still dumping a jar of honey in her mouth.
"Aaaii"
"Ihra, we've been over this!"
"Aaaahhuuiiii"
"Ihra, just... Just finish that first."

"So, I'm awake. Does it look like I'm levitating? Give me a break before I turn both of your bodies into a weapon!"

 

"Fine, fine."
