"Should we head out then?"

 

Yep, I know what it means. I have about the creativity of a dead snail so I just used Brisingr

 

It jumps backwards at the touch.
It looks terrified, tightly clutching its tome.
"Wh... Who are you?"

OOC: You're kind of upholding both ends of the conversation

I watch, not even budging. Concerned is an understatement.

"If they're that worried, sure. I'll follow you, this place is scaring me."

 

"I... I am Edicius. Better tell me who you are before I make you start recite the other side of that name!" I say, trying to faux a look of control.

Sparky growls.

 

"I am Xephyr..." She looks ready to flee if neccesary.

 

"Sparky, Round and Round!"

At that command, Sparky starts running around her, as to prevent escape. Although is she did try to escape, it's not like Sparky could do much. But the dragon-lady does not know this.

"Well, Xephyr, why don't you tell me where you are from? Hmm? Lets start with the easy stuff..."

 

"I..." She looks bitter.
"I'm from another world."
She glances at Sparky, concerned.

 

"Oh come on" I say "You don't seriously expect me to believe you come from another world"

Sparky Growls

"Sparky does not seem to like you very much. Perhaps you are just freezing him over a bit too much. Turn the ice off, will ya? Perhaps then we could have frank conversation..."

I finger my knife as I say this

 

"Too much? You..."
Her hands have a blue aura.
"...know..."
The air around you gets even colder.
"...NOTHING!!!"
Sparky is encased in ice.
"I don't care what you believe. Do NOT play me the fool!"
She glares at you.

 

"Hey! Take it easy there!"

I whirl out Silverback.

I throw it, and as it flies it turns into a spinning circle of energy. But I was not aiming for Xepher. I threw the knife at Sparky, causing the ice to shatter (Sparky is fine), the knife returns to me (That's what silverback does) and I point it at the draconian.

"No one, and I mean no one, hurts Sparky!"

 

"Now that I've established I'm not a jester, ask."
Deep purple armor plates materialize over her robe.

 

"Jester or not if you truly are from another world, why are you here?"

Sparky returns to my side.

 

"They headed out to a place called Solignis, to find you. We might be able to find them there."
I start to head in the direction on Solignis.

 

"Another of my kind fell into this world. I want to see through their extraction. Forgive me for intruding, I got carried away..."
She bows, armor dispelling.

"Nononono. No. I know what that is. No way."
She doesn't budge.

 

"Well Xepher. I have no quest nor journey planned. I may as well help you. I only came to see more of the world, and who knows that I will see by the side of a Dragoness"

Sparky looks at me as if I am insane

"Oh don't worry Sparky, we will be fine."

I turn back to her

"But I do expect you to apologize to Sparky for freezing him"

 

"I... Right. Sorry, Sparky."
She eyes him for a few moments before turning back to you.
"Don't expect it to be a smooth ride. I can't promise your safety. Frankly, I need a rest... I don't know how much longer I can go."

 

"Thats fine. If we are going to rest down here, I may as well tinker for a bit... I had a plan that might help both you and I..."

I look at Xepher slyly

"Say... How good are you at riding horses?"

OOC: I assume now would be the time where she lays down to rest and I go into full beast mode tinkering montage while Sparky jumps around like a joyful little puppy? Or is that too movie-trailerish?

 

"What's a horse?"
She looks at her surroundings before looking back at you.

OOC: If she falls asleep, well... She'll be asleep a while.

 

"Its a type of... Large animal... that people ride to go places fast. I do not have any, but I have an idea of how we could get some, or something close enough. I just need a bit of time and metal."

OOC: I am thinking of tinkering and trying to make mechanical horses. As with what happens when I usually tinker I screw up. Instead of four legs, I accidentally make 2 wheels. So we end up riding around on what would be horse-shaped motorcycles? Oh coarse mine would have a little spot for Sparky

 

"Travel isn't my problem, it's just been a rough... couple months. I can slow down for you if you insist on tagging along."
